Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #2: Pages 7-8

Page 7, 6 Panels- Mr. Ozawa's Bedroom Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels centered around Ghede with her hands closed, locked like a statue in a pose that we saw at the beginning of the ceremony. In Panel 2, her hands swoop forward toward her chest as if looking for something. A pose that he locks in place in Panel 3. As for Mace, throughout the course of each panel, we see him awkwardly waiting for the next movement from the Voodoo specter. He steadily becomes more and more anxious for something to happen as the series goes on. MACE [Panel 3]: Umm....hello? Miss Ghede? Panel 4: Slight close-up on the face of the middle-aged butler a short time later. He walks up to the frozen Ghede, examining her face carefully. The fingers of his right hand can be seen sliding gently down the slope of the Haitian's shoulder and corresponding left arm. MACE: Are you still there? I'm not sure how you...supernatural people operate. Panel 5: Another close-up of Mace a few moments later. This time, it's focused squarely on his face as he's stopped examining her body. His eyes look over to the left toward Ghede's face as he speaks. MACE [Cont., heightenedly concerned]: If you're planning to explode or unleash some type of world threatening monster...I suggest not doing it! GHEDE [Off-Panel]: What the hells did I say about talking, Mace?! Panel 6: The layout pulls back up slightly, showing Mace stumbling back a couple of steps toward the end of the bed, crashing into it. You can see the back of Ghede's body in her frozen pose in the right side of the panel view. MACE [petrified]: Wha--Where are you? GHEDE: I just arrived at Ashikaga; lovely place. MACE: How... Page 8, 5 Panels- Mr. Ozawa's Bedroom Panel 1: Back to Ghede in a profile shot that shows the whole of her body in her statue-like pose. A smile showcasing her sharp, beautifully pearl white teeth as she speaks. You can see somewhat on the far left side of the panel view the bottle of awamori resting on the end table with the top half of the dark red rum colored essence, as usual, hovering in place above the entrance. GHEDE: I'm a multi-formal specter. Being in two places at once...it's like breathing for me. Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. On the far left side of the panel view, we see the bottle once more filling up with the collected essence of Mr. Ozawa. Mace's focus is split between this very effect and the stoically frozen Ghede. GHEDE [Cont.]: Or pillaging poor, indigenous communities in the Carribean is for your boss! Panel 3-4: Mace takes great offense at the insinuation. His brow scrunching into an angry expression, and his hand pressed to his side. You can see around the right side of the panel view far in the background the sleeping visage of Mr. Ozawa as his butler speaks. In Panel 4, his anger rises steadily as he walks toward the Voodoo specter to confront her. MACE [Panel 3]: His company was vindicated in the courts of those charges! MACE [Cont., Panel 4]: A fact that I'm certain you're well aware of...unless bigotry is another of your 'superpowers.' Panel 5: A split second later, the butler Mace has suddenly been frozen in mid-glare. His rage filled eyes looking over at an unseen part of the panel view, as the sleeping Titan of industry appears in the far edge of the background as before.
