Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #2: Pages 25-26
Page 25, 6 Panels- In-Between Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we see the Haitian guerrier moments later dive straight down the center of the shot. Her blade chopping off the right hand where the massive, hulking creature had held its beautiful light blue Warhammer. GHEDE: HA! Panel 2: Cut to an action shot seconds later showing Ghede in the middle of a barrel roll. You can see the Golem in the background, growling in pain and holding the nub that once held his right hand. In between the two of them there is the former's weapon lying limp on the ground as the chopped off hand zips back toward the owner's body. Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A little over a minute passes by, and the hand has been completely reattached bac to the Water Golem. He looks over toward the waiting Ghede, who looks over her shoulder as she stands back upright, and rushes like a massive bull. GHEDE [translated from Haitian Creole]: This must be Kagu-tsuchi's doing- a little taste for what I can do. Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. She flashes a bright, cocky smile as the Water Golem charges ever closer. You can see her Molltach, its tip a few millimeters off the ground, start to change form and become all but invisible saved for a supernatural dark black energy that matches her skin. The same Creole scripture down the middle of the blade stands out in beautiful silver. GHEDE [Cont., translated from Haitian Creole]: Why not oblige the uptight pike! Panel 5-6: Side action shot a few moments later, showing our titular heroine take a single powerful leap toward the Golem's eye level. She spins around in Panel 5 with the base of her blade following. And in Panel 6, the Molltach proceeds to slash the creature's head off just as he was about to phase through the attack. Page 26, 6 Panels- In-Between Panel 1-2: Action shot of Ghede just as the explosion is occurring. She's formed a massive shield made of the same dark energy as her blade, absorbing the rush of fire and water that is hitting her and the setting behind her. It reaches its peak in the foollowing panel. Panel 3-4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The rush of water and flames have, by this point, entered a descending pattern. It leaves the background of foliage soggy and slightly charred as a result. In Panel 4, our titular heroine begins to lower the shield and look out at the as-yet unseen destruction. GHEDE [translated from Haitian Creole, sniffing; Panel 4]: Cigarette smoke...horrid cologne... Panel 5: Continuously, after the action of the previous panel, we see the Haitian guerrier descend back down to an untouched piece of beach land. You can see her Molltach shifting from its clear black design back to its original metal layout. GHEDE [Cont., looking around with a playful grin]: That gods awful slop you call flammekeuche! Panel 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, she lands back on the sand below with the same grin as before. The sword now returning to its silver splendor. Her focus has sharpened now to one point on the left side of the panel view, seeing the person to whom the Voodoo specter has been addressing all this time. GHEDE [to Avain]: You always did have a flare for the dramatic, didn't you Avain? AVAIN [Off-Panel, chuckling; translated from French]: Not all of us have the power of flight at our disposal, Ghed! Besides...
