Time Lady of L.A. #14: Pages 1-2
Page 1, 5 Panels- Tahrir Square, (Day of the Rally) 1985 Cairo Egypt Panel 1: We start off in the same setting and layout that we saw in the final page of the previous issue, only a few seconds later. W is seen pressing a button to end the call. His right hand already drifting down toward his pants in order to slide the phone back in his pocket. M, meanwhile, is seen standing behind him with their hand gently touching the top of their energy sword which is hidden on the left side of their armored hip. M [to W, through robotic filter]: Well...do you? W [glances through his periphery in M's direction; annoyed]: What in God's name are you blathering abow...? Panel 2: Close-up on W's face a few beats later. At this point, we see him turn his head around (along with the rest of his body) toward M. A look of realization over his face as he quickly puts together the hidden subtext behind the mysterious M's phrasing. In the background, the light browns and shadows of the immediate area of the Square blend together, overpowering any specific building nearby. W [Cont., to M]: You know about the girls, don't you? Panel 3-4: In Panel 3, we cut back to M a second later. They nod calmly at the question with the same type of nebulous light brown with shades of black coloring in the background. Then, just as M is starting to speak, we see W suddenly charge into view, grabbing the armored soldier by the collar forcefully. M [to W, hemming and hawing; Panel 3]: Well...I don't know if I'd say I 'know' them. But I have see-- W [Off-Panel; Panel 3]: What do you know... W [Cont., to M with a higher pitched growl; Panel 4]: WHAT DO YOU KNOW?! M [holding their arms out in front of them in a "STOP" position, to W; Panel 4]: Whoa, whoa relax! I'll tell you... Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A couple of beats later, we see M gently touch the top of W's arms, forcefully placing them back down to the gray suited man's side. You can see M's massive armored frame bend slightly in concert with their movement in the previous panel. M [Cont., comforting and coaxing]: Albeit for a price.
