Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #3: Pages 3-4
Page 3, 6 Panels- Avain's Dhom, In-Between Panel 1: Side shot showing Avain on the right side and Ghede walking toward him from the left side of the panel view. We see the French gentleman taking the drawbridge in both hands and walking toward a doorway near where he is. GHEDE [translated from French; to Avain]: Have you seen the hill coming from the West while onboard? Panel 2: Slight close-up on the doorway moments later. We see Avain's head poking out of the doorway after discarding of the drawbridge. His eyes peering over toward the left side. His right hand holding the side of the opened doorway as he speaks. AVAIN [translated from French; smirks]: Hard to miss it in a 'scape like this! GHEDE [Off-Panel]: On the top of the hill, when I first arrived in the I-B, I saw a shadow. Panel 3: Cut to a proper profile shot a few feet away of Ghede in mid-stride. Her arms are down at her side at this point. An edge of anger and annoyance that she displayed in the previous page is still seen, albeit faintly, in her eyes and her face; contained by a sense of duty. GHEDE [Cont.]: It looked like a house, from what I could gather. It only seemed to reason, with his personality, that...that's where he is. Panel 4: Same setting/layout as Panel 2. Avain lets go of the doorway and takes a step toward the right, standing in full profile at this point in the middle of it. He follows the track of the oncoming Haitian guerrier as she appears partially on the left side of the panel view. AVAIN [to Ghede]: So we're going off on a hunch? Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments pass by, and we see Ghede is just a couple of steps away from her compatriot. She reaches her arm over and gently pats Avain on the top of his head as she passes by him toward the right side. GHEDE: Yes, which is different from most of our adventures in the I-B how? AVAIN [content, grinning]: Good point. Now... Panel 6: Action shot of Avain a minute later, stepping out of the doorway toward the front of the ship where the captain's wheel is located off-panel. The beautiful tropical scenery seen partly around the edges of the right side of the panel view, along with the hard wood detailing of the ship itself. You can see the same type of pleased, grinning attitude on his face. CAPTION [Cont. from Avain]: "Let's get my beautiful Dhom running!"
