Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #3: Pages 11-12

Page 11, 6 Panels- Avain's Dhom, In-Between Panel 1: Slight close-up on Avain a few moments later. The boat still has a bit of a speedy trajectory as itskims across the water. Though at this point, it's starting to slow back down to a calmer jaunt. He takes a couple of steps forward off of the front of the steering wheel. AVAIN [Cont., translated from French]: I'm surprised whatever creature caused that wave didn't appear. GHEDE [Off-Panel, translated from French]: Yeah, I know... Panel 2: Cut to Ghede as she rises back toward a standing position. She yanks the sword out of the ground, lifting the tip of it only a couple of inches out of the hole that it caused. Her focus, meanwhile, is split between her friend and the open sea as the ship continues to slow down. GHEDE [Cont.]: That never bodes well for us! Panel 3: Action shot following Avain mid-stride a couple of seconds later as he makes his way inside the Dhom's main housing area. He looks over his shoulder ever so slightly in order to address his Haitian compatriot as he does. AVAIN [to Ghede]: So, Ghed- you want me to get one of the big boomers out of the hold? Panel 4: Back to Ghede a moment later. She looks back toward Avain with a little smirk over her face. You can see a little slice of the tropical setting behind her as she speaks, including the tall, imposing hill far in the distance. GHEDE [dismissive]: Nah. I got Minaj with me... Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Our titular heroine turns her head back around, finishing the rest of the statement with her eyes focused squarely on the tropical setting in front of them. Including a rising section of water that shows up only slightly in the background. GHEDE [Cont.]: I'll make it work. Same as always! Panel 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. You can see Ghede's sword has now at this point been raised up above her shoulder in preparation for whatever is soon to come her way. At the same moment, in the portion of the water from Panel 5, we also see the back of the mysterious creature starting to rise out of it. Page 12, 3 Panels- In-Between Seas Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels that slowly but surely reveal the creature that caused the initial commotion and massive waves a few pages back. In Panel 1, we see the top half of its frame emerge from the water. In Panel 2, the full strength and imposing nature of the beast is put on full display as the panel view widens slightly to take in a little more of the tropical scenery in the background than before. And finally, in Panel 3, we see it in its full glory, blending a mixture of Chthulu, the Kraken, and a Godzilla-like monster in his physique with green-gray scales for skin. GHEDE [translated from French, Off-Panel; Panel 3]: Charybdis...
