Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #3: Pages 17-18

Page 17, 6 Panels- In-Between Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The right arm of the Charybdis, a few moments later, makes a clawing action at the direction of our heroine. Ghede, in kind, can be seen flying up a few feet in order to avoid the sharp talons of the creature's fingernails. GHEDE [singing, translated from Haitian Creole]: "All the drama that you crave that you really want..." Panel 2: A split second later, in the same setting that we saw in the previous panel, we see the Haitian guerrier quickly zooming toward the mostly off-panel Charybdis set to strike. You can see a little more of the monster's mid-section as it comes closer to Ghede. GHEDE [Cont., singing]: "All the drama that you crave that you really want..." Panel 3-4: Action shot of Ghede seconds later taking a hard slash at the belly, showing a stream of dark red and green mixed blood from out of it. In Panel 4, you can see the Charybdis' head tilting downward in the direction of our heroine. An explosion seen above the main view of the action. Panel 5: Just as Ghede rares up to make a slash at the lizard creature's throat with her Minaj, we see another powerful whirlpool shoot out of its mouth. Its full impact hitting her squarely in the chest and sending her backwards toward the right side of the panel view. GHEDE [Cont., singing]: "(is it all on you)..." Panel 6: A few moments later, the layout follows our titular heroine as she tries to keep her position, slashing away as best as she could at the massive gusts of wind hitting her full force. GHEDE [Cont., singing; with a considerable amount of struggle]: "(is it all on you)..." Page 18, 8 Panels- In-Between Panel 1-2: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. After a minute of slashing, we can see that Ghede has considerably closed the gap between her and the Charybdis. In Panel 2 though, the whirlpool suddenly dissipates at the same moment a loud explosion that provides a flash of yellow to the Vodoo specter's visage. She glances over in the direction of the fire. Panel 3: Cut to a wide shot, taking in the Dhom, the Charybdis, and Ghede (who appears as if like a fly on the monster's shoulder) seconds later. We see the explosion dissipate and the lizard-y Charybdis tumbling backward across the water, which appears like a puddle to it. Panel 4-5: Slight close-up on Ghede a few moments later. She's straightened herself back out and watches on with a proud smile; a couple of trees in the background. In Panel 5, the Haitian guerrier grips both hands on the Molltach handle, ready to join the fight. GHEDE [translated from French, to Avain; Panel 4]: Nifty shot, Avi... GHEDE [Cont., Panel 5]: I can take it from there! Panel 6-8: Action shot of Ghede rocketing as fast as ever toward the monster's belly. In Panel 7, we see a close-up of Charybdis' belly just as it's about to enter the creature and then, in Panel 8, the Haitian guerrier gliding effortlessly inside it. GHEDE [singing, Panel 7]: "Oh I wait (I've got drama)... GHEDE [Cont. singing, Panel 8]: "For something more today (on the brain)..."
