Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #3: Pages 19-20

Page 19, 4 Panels- Interior of Charybdis

Panel 1-4: A four-part set of panels centered around the gooey insides of the lizard monster we have come to know as the Charybdis. The bulk of the action takes place within the span of under a minute. We see with each panel the background change to take in a different part of the creature's anatomy. In Panel 1, for instance, it's one of the stomachs and part of its spinal column. In Panel 2, we see the liver as well as a collection of other organs and intestines along with the already seen organs from Panel 1. In Panel 3, as the room starts to quickly fill with the uber buff visage of our heroine, we see its gills and other parts of its skeletal structure just as it gets squished by the now massive specter's size. And in Panel 4, it's essentially just her, save for a little slice of the creature's skeleton and organs.

GHEDE [translated from Haitian Creole; Panel 1]: I hate doing this to you, you beautiful Rèn. GHEDE [Cont., Panel 2; deeper tone]: You should be in a museum or free to roam in your natural habitat on Avalon. GHEDE [Panel 3, deeper tone]: But right now, you're standing between me and Pre-Kanaval--not a good fucking move! GHEDE [Cont., Panel 4; very deep base]: So here is, to use the parlance of human musician's...

Page 20, 2 Panels- In-Between

Panel 1: Action shot that takes up only the top 1/4 of the page where we see the Charybdis exploding into a million pieces. Its guts and bone and entrails sprayed out into every direction, covering the surroundings in its gooey essence. You can see, albeit in a tiny flicker, the top of Ghede's face through the bright white crackling and explsive residue.

GHEDE [translated from Haitian Creole]: The BIG FINISH!

Panel 2: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout, however, is considerably larger, covering up the remaining right half of the page. With the remains of the creature now dripping off the tops of the trees as well as the beachside, we see now our titular heroine in full badass display. Her head tilted upward in a heroic position, and a cocky smile painted over her face showing her jagged razor-like teeth.

AVAIN [Off-Panel, translated from French]: Merde...really?
