Page 25, 5 Panels- Avain's Dhom Panel 1: We move to a wide shot from the sky looking down at our two heroes. A little more of the river can be seen in the background along with the forested areas that can be seen on both sides of the panel view. A few moments have passed by, and they continue the cleaning of the Dhom, splitting out throughout the rest of the ship. Ghede moving toward the left side, and Avain the right. They both, at this point, are embracing the bright moment of celebration that comes with the song. GHEDE [Cont. singing, translated from French]: Live in Japan Let's rock with the tough girls in this part of the world AVAIN [singing, translated from French]: Take a photograph Portrait of a Ladyman... Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The panel view widens just a little bit more, taking in more of the forested areas still covered with Charybdis guts. Avain can be seen near the bottom of the right side, grabbing a pile of guts and pushing it off the side of the ship as the scroll containing the song floats above him. Ghede, meanwhile, just continues singing without a care in the world. GHEDE: Are we holding on to our pride a bit too long Are we breaking on guitars Are we breaking you apart... AVAIN [speaking]: Hey Ghed, something just popped into my head. GHEDE [speaking]: What? Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The panel view pulls out a little bit more, showing more of the river and the forested areas covered in red and green entrails that formerly was a lizard creature. You can also see in the upper section of the panel view the first shadow of the mountain coming into view. Ghede has now stopped cleaning, standing in roughly the same perpendicular to Avain, listening to his explanation. AVAIN: Since the Charybdis was brought in by this Kagu-Tsuchi guy, that still means we have the In-Between's defenses to deal with. GHEDE: Your point? Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The heroes are still standing in the same positions that we saw them in the previous panel as well. Unbeknownst to them, however, you can see what appears to be a shadow in the sky coming from the same direction of the barely seen hill area. AVAIN: Given the setting, it might be wise to reinforce the armor on the Dhom before we fire the engines up and take off. GHEDE: Good point. We'll deal with it later after the song. Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Our two heroes once more resuming their efforts to clean the last vestiges of guts from the ship. A few moments later, the shadow that was somewhat visible in the previous panel has now appeared in proper view in the top right side of the panel view looking down ominously on the ship. The shadow gives off the appearance of a deity in regal Japanese clothing with what appears to be a scar on the neck going from left to right. GHEDE [singing while she works]: They say I've gone too far with the image I've got and they know I'd make a mint with new plastic skin... END OF ISSUE 3
