The Boo-Ya! #2: Pages 7-8

Page 7, 7 Panels- Hallway, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1-2: Close-up on the young Titanian a couple of seconds later. She turns her body toward the left in the direction of her intended target. Her eyes focused squarely with the comm still firmly gripped in her hand. In the next panel, we see a slight shift to the side (showing a medium-sized touchscreen display above the words as Staehlia clicks the comm off, but not before one last message from Nessa is heard from back on Earth. STAEHLIA [Cont., to the Madam; Panel 1]: It just means an extra minute of work on my end. Nothing too difficult. STAEHLIA [Cont.; Panel 1, Bubble 2]: All I need is one good jolt of electricity from one of the Pleasurooms to the Hopper and we will be set. NESSA [through the comm, to Staehlia; Panel 2]: You better not touch my Krxs sim, Stahl. She's the only being in a half-dohzen galaxies, outside of Earth, who looks like John Ha-- SOUND EFFECT [Panel 2]: CLICK! Panel 3: Back to a shot of Staehlia, showing the upper half of her body. You can see her move to take the now turned off comm back into the pocket of her pants. Her free hand just moving up in the direction of the off-panel touchscreen in order to get to work. The background behind her is a mix of the gray and the black of the hallway with the occasional spark of yellow from the ongoing Regen process. STAEHLIA [to herself]: Enough of that. Now...[sighs] to work. Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels that are centered on an over-the-back shot of Staehlia as she gets to work on the touchscreen console. With each panel, you can see incrementally the progress she achieves on her path to accessing this particular Pleasuroom's power distribution layout. Her fingers moving with lightning speed in each of the panels. All the while, you can hear her hum the melody to an old Titan fairy tale that (to readers on Earth) sounds similar in bits and pieces to "Ntjilo Ntjilo" by Alan Singa. Panel 7: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. After a minute of typing and work, just as everything seems to be going Staehlia's way, suddenly the screen glows red and catching the Titanian off-guard. The words "ACCESS DENIED" flashes in a slightly lighter red font in the center of the touchscreen. CAPALDI [from the speakers, to Staehlia]: My apologies, Staehlia... Page 8, 6 Panels- Hallway, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We move to a shot focused squarely on Staehlia's face a second later. She glances up toward the ceiling in the direction of the ship's (somewhat) trusty A.I. The background behind her is a mix of black with sparks of energetic yellow without any type of form whatsoever. CAPALDI [Cont.]: Nessa had an extra firewall of security installed in this particular Pleasuroom to protect her programs. STAEHLIA [to Capaldi, perturbed]: Right...[sighs] Could you not have notified me of this firewall before I began?! CAPALDI [Bubble 2]: In my defense, I was unaware you were going to use this particular room to generate the needed 50 Carrmentos of electricity from the room to power the Hopper independently of the Regen. STAEHLIA [Bubble 2]: Not the heaviest of concerns at the present moment, Capaldi. Panel 2-3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A split second later, we see the young Titanian's eyes focus back on the screen. Her fingers just beginning to type once more on the touch screen's keyboard in order to break through the firewall. All as the background continues to have the same color scheme that it had in Panel 1. In Panel 3, the speed increases as she gets firmly back to the task at hand. STAEHLIA [Cont., to Capaldi; Panel 2]: Do you know of any method that can help me gain access to the grid? CAPALDI [from the speakers, to Staehlia; Panel 2]: Not in the slightest, dear. But I can contain the energy, once initiated, toward the Hopper for an horut before returning it to Pleasuroom 3. STAEHLIA [encouraged; Panel 2, Bubble 2]: That is more than enough time for me to complete the task. Now Capaldi, with all due respect, kindly mute yourself for a moment... STAEHLIA [Cont., back to business; Panel 3]: I have a firewall to step through. Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels centered around the same over the back shot that we saw in the last panel of the previous page, taking place over a handful of minutes. The Communications officer and tech genius types away on the screen, trying to break through the pre-made firewall. All the while, humming the same song she did in the previous page. The overall theme being, even with all of her hard work, that the screen still flashed red with "ACCESS DENIED" over the center. STAEHLIA [remarking to herself, Panel 6]: Hmm...a little tougher than I initially surmised.
