Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #5: Pages 25-26
Page 25, 7 Panels- Swampy Areas near the Mountain, In-Between Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels. We see her feet slowly pulling out of the gunky swamp marsh bit by bit. You can see the light brown goop rising up in a triangular formation as the action moves from Panel 1 to Panel 2. Finally, in Panel 3, the Haitian guerrier is able to break free and take off to the sky above. Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels that take place a couple of beats later. We see things from Ghede's POV as she blazes through the trees. The branches breaking and splitting past her left and right with each following panel. We see a slice of blue sky coming into view in Panel 5, which only grows in Panel 6 as she nears the top of the swamp land. Panel 7: Cut to the very top of the swampy land a couple of seconds later. We see our titular heroine standing over top of the trees below them with sword righteously over her right shoulder. She looks over intently toward the left side of the panel view at the off-panel swarm of hornets. GHEDE [translated from French]: Hmmm...super-sized! Page 26, 3 Panels- Skies above the I-B Panel 1: We move to a side shot a couple of beats later. On the left side of the panel view, we see the imposing, frightening swarm of massive bugs charging toward the right side. And on the right side of the panel view, we see Ghede charging toward them with lightning speed. Panel 2: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout zooms in slightly, showing the front of the mega hornet swarm and our heroine come ever closer to an explosive conflict. You can slowly start to see the intricate details on the faces of the insects as they fly. KAGU-TSUCHI [translated from Japanese; Off-Panel]: Soon, Shōjo... Panel 3: Same setting as the previous panel. It's yet another close-up of our protagonist on the right and the antagonist swarm on the left side.
