The Boo-Ya! #3: Pages 11-12

Page 11, 5 Panels- Roof of Cartwright House, Crumlin Wales Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels centered on the dad looking on at Robin as she moves from left to right in the panel view. He lets out a deep fatherly chuckle at the statement in Panel 1, opening up his left arm to take his daughter in. His right hand gently touching the telescope's lense. In Panel 2, we see Robin sliding on to her father's lap as he starts to position the telescope in the proper position for the two of them to see the comet pass. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [chuckling, to Robin; Panel 1]: Did Mom say it was okay? ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [nodding, to Nathan; Panel 1]: Yes, Dad. She said it was okay because it "wasn't a school day" tomorrow. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Panel 1, Bubble 2]: Alright then... NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Panel 2]: Let's get everything in position. Panel 3: Cut to a shot from the perspective of the telescope looking out into the night sky. The outline of the panel showing a circular pattern to befit the perspective. You can see a section of the night sky and the twinkling stars above that lines up in the position of the telescope at the end of Panel 2. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Off-Panel]: The paper said it should be coming into view any time now. Just gotta find the positioning on the star map. Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The section of night sky that we see has changed slightly compared to Panel 3, moving to the right at the same moment to show a different section of stars in the panel view. In particular, around the area of the Auriga and Perseus star systems. You can also see around the bottom right section of the panel view a little section of the sky covered in a touch of glare from the city lights going skyward. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Off-Panel]: They said it should be right around the Andromeda galaxy... Panel 5: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout tilts down slightly as the telescope focuses aroudn the aforementioned Andromeda galaxy in the night sky. It's here that we see the beauty of the Hale-Bopp comet as it comes into full view in the center of the panel view. The glow of the comet highlighting the subsequent stars that make up Andromeda around it. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [excited, Off-Panel]: Got it! Page 12, 5 Panels- Cartwright Household, Cumlin Wales Panel 1-2: Cut in Panel 1 to a shot of Nathan a few beats later. His eyes focused squarely on the telescopic lense, observing the comet as it passes by. You can see Robin starting to stand and make her way to the lense. A look of deep curiosity buzzing about her face, wanting to see the comet for herself. In Panel 2, a second later, we see Mr. Cartwright move aside and let his daughter get a look at the astrological phenomenon, lifting her up underneath her arms to the same position he was in. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., in awe; Panel 1]: My God, it's--it's incredible! ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [excited, to Nathan; Panel 1]: Ooo, I wanna see! I wanna see! NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [to Robin, Panel 2]: In a moment, baby. I just need to adjust the telescope a little... Panel 3-4: A two-part set of panels centered around the same setting and layout that we saw in the previous panel. In Panel 3, he places his daughter back on the ground of the rooftop right in front of the telescope. Her tiny hand gripping the metal bar as he speaks, leaning her head toward the lense. In Panel 4, she looks on a split second later at the comet across the Welsh night sky with the same sense of awe as her father. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Panel 3]: There we go. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [in awe, looking through the telescope; Panel 4]: Wow... NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [looking up to the sky, with a smile; Panel 4]: Yeah. It's a nice reminder that, as bad as life can get sometimes... Panel 5: Cut to a shot from the same type of telescoping lense framed layout that we saw at the end of the previous page, showing Hale-Bopp in all its beauty as it continues cutting across the night sky. The explanation playing along from what we saw in Panel 4 on here in the off-panel area of the shot. NATHAN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Off-Panel]: It's never entirely awful!
