The Boo-Ya! #3: Pages 19-20

Page 19, 6 Panels- Strada Statale 340, between Cernobbio and Moltrasio Italy Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels centered on the bike half a mile up from where we last left our human heroine in the last panel of the previous page. Taken from the side of the road as the morning sun takes on more and more prominence in the overall scenery (including the river in the background), we see Robin pushing the motorcycle along the road with a great deal of exhaustion on her face. Her voice tinging with frustration and annoyance as she speaks. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to the bike, Panel 1]: You couldn't have waited till I got to the city? ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Panel 2]: Or at least till I got to a bloody bus stop I can dump this off on before spring this fucking whammy... SOUND EFFECT [from her stomach, Panel 3]: GRRRAAHH... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [sighs, to her stomach; Panel 3]: Ah, groovy stomach...thanks for that! Panel 4: Close-up on Robin's face a couple of beats later. She looks up from the ground in the direction of Moltrasio, which appears in her line of sight off-panel. The exhaustion fully on display in terms of the panel, touched by the ever increasing glow of the morning sun on the street below. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [trying to find any scrap of optimism she can see]: At least the ship hasn't taken off yet. That's...something. Panel 5-6: A two-part set of panels centered around the same setting and layout as she continues her trek on foot toward her intended destination. In Panel 5, Robin's manner shifts toward one of handling business, trying to mellow herself down from the previous bout of drama. In the next panel, a minute later, her attention is drawn to the sound of a car engine coming up from behind her. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Panel 5]: Maybe I can trade this in for a plate of eggs and sausage before they find out it's stolen. Or a thick chili omelette with a tall glass of scotch...that'd be nice. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Panel 5, Bubble 2]: Shit, a nice foot bath in a bucket of ice and scotch would be awesome! ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [curious, tilting her head to her right; Panel 6]: The hell?... Page 20, 7 Panels- Strada Statale 340, between Cernobbio and Moltrasio Italy/Discotheque, Moltrasio Italy: Mid-Morning Panel 1: Same setting as the last panel of the previous panel. The layout widens slightly to take in her whole body a few moments later. The handles of the motorcycle visible to her left, along with its front tire as she speaks. Robin spies a pair of headlights in the distance coming toward her. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [relieved smile]: Oh, thank God! It's... Panel 2: We cut to a screenshot inside a dank, smoky discotheque somewhere. It shows the same "BREAKING NEWS" graphic with information about the break-out as well as artist's renderings of our three alien heroines that we saw near the end of Issue 2 at the cafe. The only difference being the noise of loud, base-heavy Euro dance music bumping out in the background, shaking every inch of the building's interior. CAPTION: FASDM Moltrasio, Italy 11 A.M. THE MADAM [Off-Panel, hysterically laughing]: Hilarious! Panel 3-4: We move to a connecting shot of the Madam, Nessa and Staehlia sitting along a row of bar stools looking up at the screen. The background behind them filled with a decent amount of people for the middle of a weekday morning. Each of them with varying degrees of hilarity (Madam at the top and Staehlia more at the lower end with Nessa splitting the difference) at the drawings. Staehlia, meanwhile, is focused on her comm's touch screen looking for something THE MADAM [Cont., Panel 3]: The way they view us on this planet, like half of them fear us-- NESSA [interjecting, Panel 3]: And the other half want their bodies ravaged by us! THE MADAM [Panel 3, Bubble 2]: Yeah... Panel 5: Close-up on the Madam a beat later. Her attention turned toward the tall glass of lager that the off-panel bartender places right in front of her. You can see her right hand and wrist moving up from her lap, touching the hardwood countertop of the bar as she speaks. THE MADAM [Cont.]: Probably why the humans we meet every time we come to Earth are always so uptight when it comes to the nighttime arts. Panel 6-7: A two-part set of panels centered on Nessa seated next to her. In Panel 6, we see her nodding in agreement to her captain's observation as a similarly tall glass of dark lager slides her way courtesy of the unseen bartender. At the same time, in the background, you can see a group of lovely ladies start to come into view. Their prominence more visible in Panel 7 as the well-dressed ladies meet up with a group of male friends going at one of the booths. NESSA [nodding, noticing the ladies enter the club; Panel 6]: Maybe we can help loosen some of the locals up while we're here. NESSA [Cont., flirty smile as she gazes at their asses; Panel 7]: I mean...it'll probably be horuts till we hear back from this seller. What the hells else are we gonna do, outside of snagging some sushi? THE MADAM [poking into view from over Nessa's shoulder and looking , to Nessa; Panel 7]: Alright, but only if they're up to it. NESSA [no doy; Panel 7, Bubble 2]: Obviously, cap'n...I'm not a flarking Drjumphf!
