Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #7: Pages 1-2

Page 1, 7 Panels- Avain's Dhom, In-Between Panel 1: We open to a shot of Avain back on the Dhom as all the action and drama of the previous issue has gone on. At this point, we see the good captain locked in a steady block of ice with his Tridentis a handful of steps away from the ship's main complex, which appears somewhat on the left side of the panel view. No sign of the lush tropical background that we've associated with the In-Between can be readily seen behind him, outside of a painting of light brown. Panel 2-3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. His body remains in the same frozen position that we saw of him. The lone exception being the right hand holding the Tridentis, particularly his fingers which appear to be moving toward a button on the weapon's console. Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, we see Avain pressing down on the button he was gunning for on the left side of the weapon with two of his fingers. The rest of his body remaining in the same frozen position that he had in Panel 1. Panel 5-7: A three-part set of panels set around the same setting and layout that we've seen the entire page. There's a bright orange glow that forms around the tips of the Tridentis' three metal arrows with each preceding panel. The glow of which starts to affect the icy confines that our hero has been trapped in. With each preceding panel, we see Avain gain more movement with the other extremities of his body till finally... Page 2, 1 Panel- Avain's Dhom, In-Between Panel 1: A full-page explosion, a shower of ice that shoots out in all directions. The blades of the Tridentis glowing bright orange for this brief snapshot of time as a ball of fire shoots up into the sky. It all coincides with a loud, primal yell from Avain who regains full use of his extremities. The layout of the shot is such that we see only the sky rather than any part of the ground below.
