Page 1, 4 Panels- FASDM, Moltrasio Italy Panel 1-4: A four-part set of panels centered on the discotheque that we saw the interior of during the end of Issue 3. This time though, it's outside from a satellite perspective similar to what you would see on Google Earth. With each panel, you can see the layout pull farther and farther away from the initial perspective, letting the reader take in more of the city and the nearby lake. The only sounds for the first three panels that can be heard emanate from the sound of the electrical equipment from the aforementioned satellites. It's not till Panel 4 that we hear dialogue. ANALYST [Off-Panel; Panel 4]: GOTCHA! Page 2, 6 Panels- NATO's E.T.A. Command Center/Commander Weber's Office, Brussels Belgium Panel 1: We move to a shot of the analyst sitting in front of their station, looking at the screen as they get a lock on the intruding aliens from the orbiting satellite system. Rows of other analyst in that section of the E.T.A. can be seen behind him in the background. The young man, dressed in a standard NATO military uniform, types away on the computer's keyboard as he speaks. ANALYST [Cont.]: Gotta get these over to the Commander... Panel 2: Cut to a shot of Commander Weber standing in her office outside of the main command center. She's looking over a set of fresh documents detailing the latest from other separate incidents from throughout the NATO member countries that have started to come in. In the background, with the color of pale ivory white from the walls, you can hear the sound of Sam Cooke playing off-panel as she reads. SOUND EFFECT [Off-Panel right]: KNOCK KNOCK! COMMANDER WEBER [while reading]: Enter... Panel 3-4: Cut to the door to her office where, standing in the doorway, we see Richard Siena, the man we last saw back in Issue 2 as one of the Commander's advisors. He's dressed in the same type of suit he worn at that time. His left hand firmly wrapped over the doorknob, pushing it forward as he walks. You can see in his right hand, pressed to his chest, a stack of papers that are hard to decipher in terms of what they mean. In Panel 4, in this same setting and layout, we see Richard close the door slightly behind him (leaving a little gap to the hallway) and glance up in the direction of the speakers. Though he's still in the same relative position in terms of the doorway. RICHARD SIENA [quickly, to Commander Weber; Panel 3]: Commander, I... RICHARD SIENA [Cont., confused; Panel 4]: Who's that? Panel 5: Back to the Commander standing next to her desk in the same position that we saw her in at the beginning of the page. The layout widens slightly to take in a little more of the office around her, including the bookcase to her right and the aforementioned desk as well as a set of papers and a part of her desktop computer to her left. COMMANDER WEBER [glancing toward Richard's direction]: Sam Cooke, an American Soul singer from the '60s. It keeps me relaxed and focused when I need to be. My father used to sing this to me whenever I felt sad or stressed out. Panel 6: Back to the advisor nodding slightly in agreement as the music plays on, pretending to understand the explanation given from his superior officer. His right hand lifting the stack of papers ever so slightly from his chest as he speaks, while the rest of his body remains stationary in the same position he was in Panel 4. RICHARD SIENA: I see...You told me after the meeting to notify you the moment the three OWIs escaped police custody and popped up on radar? COMMANDER WEBER [Off-Panel, interjecting]: Fully anticipating the local authorities would somehow es vermasseln--yes, I know.
