The Boo-Ya! #4: Pages 9-10

Page 9, 6 Panels- Docks, Moltrasio Italy Panel 1: We cut to a shot of Staehlia walking down a sidewalk somewhere in town at about the same time that the C.A.T. have touched down in Milan. She's dressed in the same type of clothes that we saw her in back in Issue 2, with exception to a nice looking black unzipped up sweater that she has on at that moment. Her eyes look up and out as if trying to find something in front of her. CAPTAIN MATTHEWS [Cont., Off-Panel caption]: "You never know what weird alien tech they're gonna push on us." STAEHLIA [shiver]: I did not expect this part of Ey-arth to be this...cold. Panel 2: We move to a wider shot taking in our other alien protagonists, Nessa (walking on the far right of the panel view) and the Madam (walking in the middle between both of them). It's here that we see that we are at the docks. The sight of native sea-faring birds flying above them in the top of the panel view as they speak. Much like what we saw with Staehlia, there are tiny differences in their appearance (though neither of them are bundled up like Stahl is) such as the Madam's luxury sunglasses and the large barrel of sushi Nessa has strapped over her back. THE MADAM [glancing, to Staehlia]: Cold? It's toasty as a flarking sulfur pit here! STAEHLIA [explanatory, to the Madam]: I forgot my vest back on the Boo-Ya! It usually helps to control my Ahvet'chs Syndrome THE MADAM [Bubble 2]: Ahvet'chs Syndrome? STAEHLIA [Bubble 2]: It makes it very hard for me to achieve an adequate level of warmth in my body...among other symptoms. Panel 3: Close-up on Staehlia's face a second later. Her eyes looking back up in the direction of the off-panel boats that line their paths. There's a look of slight melancholy in her eyes as she speaks, thinking about her past back on Titan. You can see the glow of the sun above hitting her head as well as the sweater she's wearing at the same moment. STAEHLIA [Cont.]: Suffice it to say, it did not ingratiate me with my colleagues in school. Or in the neighboring surroundings near my living area. THE MADAM [surprised, Off-Panel]: Shite, I didn't know Stahl! STAEHLIA [Bubble 2]: It is alright. It is not something I felt was necessary to talk about during prior operations. THE MADAM [Off-Panel, Bubble 2]: Fair enough... Panel 4-5: A two-part set of panels that first starts out in Panel 4 with a slightly widened out shot taking in the Madam and Staehlia for a brief moment along the path they've been following. Then, in Panel 5, it moves to a shot of the Madam and Nessa as she finally addresses precisely why she's been carrying the large barrel of sushi all this time. THE MADAM [Cont. to Staehlia, curious; Panel 4]: Do you need any other help to help deal with your Ahvet'chs once we wrap things up and get the flark off this planet? STAEHLIA [shakes her head, to the Madam; Panel 4]: No, thank you cap'n. This sweater should provide sufficient assistance till we return it to the ship. And afterwards...Ness can use it as a napkin for her post-meal meal. THE MADAM [with a chuckle; Panel 4, Bubble 2]: Yeah. Speaking of which... THE MADAM [Cont., to Nessa; Panel 5]: What the hells is with the barrel of sushi, Ness? NESSA [smirks, to the Madam; Panel 5]: I needed a snack for the ride up to Conn's, cap'n. Panel 6: Close-up on Nessa's face a split second later. Her face now has tilted squarely in the direction of her captain. The smirk that was barely there in the previous panel has now grown into a proud, confident smile as she continues on the same path as her friends. You can see the back of the barrel behind her in the background, along with part of the name of the shop where they were written in Italian. NESSA [Cont.]: Besides, it wasn't like the restaurant we were at was gonna miss it. They left all that good biz sitting there for the taking, right next to their garbage receptacle. Page 10, 6 Panels- Moltrasio Docks, Moltrasio Italy Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the second-to-last panel of the previous page. Nessa can be seen shaking her head, letting out a chuckle tinged with a level of disbelief in regards to the last statement she made back in Page 9. The Madam glances over to her pilot and number two, also letting out a chuckle. All the while, Staehlia has her eyes glued to her comm, tracking the location of Goldmember as they're speaking. NESSA [disbelief]: Bett'n shame...flarkin' daft as hells apes! THE MADAM [nodding in agreement]: I know, I know... Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments pass by, and we see the good captain turn her attention over toward Staehlia. Her chuckle and smirk have faded to a solid stoic baseline as the tone of the conversation turns back toward business. As for Nessa, we see her slip a free hand into one of her pants' pockets, looking out in the direction of the boats spying for the infamous Goldmember. THE MADAM [to Staehlia]: How's the Regen, Stahl? I'd prefer to 'port back to my ship the second the ched it hits our pockets. STAEHLIA [glancing toward the Madam from the periphery]: That should not be a problem, cap'n. Regen is lean and green and on track to be skyable in another tre or four horuts. THE MADAM [surprised, Bubble 2]: Really? I thought it would be closer to six. STAEHLIA [Bubble 2]: There was an increase in juiuce emanating from the rays of this planet's sun. It must have sparked the process forward a little faster than usual. Panel 3: Cut to a close-up on Staehlia a couple of moments later. For the first time in the course of the page, we see her face turn up from the comm to address the Madam face to face. You can see a few shades of yellow emanating from its screen, hitting a section of her hoodie as she speaks. STAEHLIA [Cont.]: Enough to get the Hopper fully active ship-wide, which should help transport the jewels onboard Mr. Connes'kiz' yacht without issue. Panel 4: We move to a shot of Nessa a second later. She looks over in the direction of her friends with a slightly tense look on her face, thinking about the creepy human they met back in the bar in the end of Issue 3. You can see the hand that was previously in her pocket is back out, gripping the middle of the large ropes that she uses to keep the massive barrel strapped to her back. NESSA [to the Madam and Staehlia]: Anyone besides me get a murder-y vibe talking to that slime bucket? Panel 5-7: A three-part set of panels that connect to one another, showing a front shot of the Madam (Panel 6) and Staehlia (Panel 5) responding to their friend, who is visible in Panel 7 listening. You can see part of the river in the background to the side of Staehlia in Panel 5, along with the rear of the other yachts that the three have passed all this time. STAEHLIA [to Nessa, reasoned and agreeing in part to the summation; Panel 5]: Are you referring to committing the act on him, or the fear of him committing the act on you? NESSA [to Staehlia, "no-duh!"; Panel 7]: The second one, obviously. Though I could definitely see the benefits of hurling him into the jaws of a flarking Kremlee! STAEHLIA [Panel 5, Bubble 2]: I am not sure I got that "murder-y" vibe from Mr. Tja'Brin. Though I do agree I felt considerably dirty after speaking to him at FASDM. THE MADAM [heavy sigh, chiming in; Panel 6]: Second that...luckily, we only have to tolerate the tool long enough all to get his ched. After that, we can put this planet to our rearview and head back to a quasi-decent part of the--
