The Boo-Ya! #5: Pages 3-4

Page 3, 6 Panels- "Goldmember," Moltrasio Italy Panel 1: We move a handful of seconds later to a shot of the leader of C.A.T. reaching the edge of the command center. Her sword is out and raised well over her head at this moment with PFC Moore following a step behind her. Both of their attentions are pulled skyward in the direction of where they think the voice is coming from. COMPUTER [to the C.A.T. team]: Hello C.A.T., I am Moneypenny, the non-flesh intelligence apparatus in charge of the "Goldmember." I'm sorry to say that Conneskiz is not available to speak to you right now. Panel 2: Cut to a shot showing the roof of the command center a second later. The partly cloudly clear blue sky above can be seen in the background. You can also see, toward the center of the shot, the appearance of a red dot coming into view as she addresses the off-panel team of humans. MONEYPENNY [Cont.]: But he did want to leave you and your team a message, Captain Matthews. Panel 3-4: A two-part set of panels that are centered around separate action shots. A mysterious wave emanates from the roof, taking the guns right out of Cassie (Panel 3) and Cortes' (Panel 4) hands to their surprise. You can see in each of the panels the high-powered weapons start to levitate skyward and move in the same direction (signified by a line moving from right to left on both panels) Panel 5: Cut to the Captain as this all is going on. She desperately tries to pull her sword back out from the mysterious pull of the invisible waves that have pulled her teammates' weapons into the nearby sea. You can hear the sound of a hard "PLUNK!" which signifies their descent into the deep blue. CAPTAIN MATTHEWS [pulling it back with force]: Oh helll...nooo... MONEYPENNY [from the ceiling speaker, to Captain Matthews and C.A.T.]: It's nothing malicious at all. Mr. TJa'Brin simply wanted to... Panel 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. After ten extra seconds worth of struggle from the commando, the energy sword is unable to hold on to her weapon much longer and it flies out of her hand. As was the case in Panels 3 and 4, you can see a simple line in the sky tracking the weapon's trajectory toward the same direction in the sea that the two guns ended up. MONEYPENNY [Cont.]: "even things up," to use Earth parlance. CAPTAIN MATTHEWS [scoffs, to Moneypenny]: Yeah? Well, to use another piece of "Earth parlance"... Page 4, 5 Panels- "Goldmember," Moltrasio Italy Panel 1: Close-up on the good Captain's face a second later. She lets out a mighty battle cry that precedes her dialogue here. The background behind her quickly rushing from left to right, signifying the fact that she's running alongside the edge of the command center ready to fight. You can hear the hard stamping of footsteps off-panel to the right as she speaks. CAPTAIN MATTHEWS [Cont.]: Kiss my ass! Panel 2-4: A three-part set of panels that takes place over the course of a handful of seconds. The layout changes slightly, pulling back to show the back of the American commando as she starts to take the turn to face her attacker on the other side of the command center. In Panel 4 though, just as she gets a chance to see one of the aliens, she's driven back by a powerful photonic blast that comes off-panel to the right of the shot. Panel 5: A split second later, we move to a shot of Lauren getting slammed into the side of the metal railing five feet away. You can hear an immediate bending and crunching of the steel, forming a little cocoon around her sore (yet not quite broken) form. In the background, you can see a section of the river behind her as she slowly tries to push herself back to her feet. THE MADAM [Off-Panel, to Captain Matthews]: That, human, is a stanletronic pulse. All kinds of a flarkin' pain to the bones and nervous system, regardless of the species.
