Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #8: Pages 13-14
Page 13, 8 Panels- Kagu-Tsuchi's Mountaintop Dwelling Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels, with each individual panel centered on our two combatants as they fight on. Each one trading the other a blow in the confines of the mysterious room, filling it with a mixture of clanging and hard concrete banging sounds. For the first two panels, we see Ghede getting the advantage in the fight. It's not until Panel 3 that the concrete Ozabot starts to improve on his chances with the appearance of a triad of blades from the creature's knuckles, slashing her face. GHEDE [Cont., translated from Haitian Creole; to Ozabot, Panel 1]: Thought not as much as the growling. GHEDE [Cont., snarky; Panel 2]: Even if it is an improvement from your human ape original. SOUND EFFECT [Panel 3]: SLISH! Panel 4: Action shot of the Haitian guerrier, caught off-guards and moving a little distance backwards. Her right hand pressing against her face in the area where she was slashed. She glares back at the off-panel antagonist and gives a fanged growl. Panel 5-8: A four-part set of panels which follow the similar type of action that we saw in the first three panels of the page. The only difference is that the Ozabot has taken full control of the fight, smashing and driving our titular and very angry heroine back (who is defending each punch and slash as best as she can) toward the wall. As this backward procession goes on, starting on Panel 6 (which is also the moment that her scar is healed completely), we see her Molltach start to glow a pearly white. GHEDE [to the Ozabot, snarling; Panel 6]: You stupid, soulless bata! GHEDE [Cont., angry/brave; Panel 7]: You might be thinking, in that slab of konkrè you call a head, that you're winning right. GHEDE [more brave than angry; Panel 8]: But in reality? Page 14, 5 Panels- Kagu Tsuchi's Mountaintop Dwelling Panel 1: Cut to a profile shot of the Ozabot seconds later. As for our heroine, we see the back of her in the top right corner of the panel view as she rushes back into the fight, swinging her bright white sword at the concrete creature's shoulder. Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. We see a split second later the Minaj land with a "THUD!" on the same point she plotted in Panel 1, missing the Ozabot's swing by a matter of inches. You can also see from the very tip of the sword something come off and attach to the creature. Panel 3-5: A three-part set of panels that follows the Haitian guerrier's descent to the ground. The Ozabot seen in profile from his back, trying to reach for what we now see is a small grenade that has been lodged on his body. As for Ghede, we see her complete in Panel 5 a set of beautiful gymanstic spins and flips that began in Panel 3 and 4, landing with both feet on the ground. All the while, her Molltach Minaj has returned to its normal form and function save for a little circle divot just below its tip. GHEDE [translated from Haitian Creole; slightly bent, with the Molltach touching the ground]: You just signed your death warrant!
