Ghede: Guerrier Extraordinaire #8: Pages 19-20
Page 19, 5 Panels- Kagu-Tsuchi's Mountaintop Dwelling Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. A tenth of a second passes between now and the aforementioned panel. She begins to straighten her body out and reach for the handle for her sword. Just before Ghede is able to solidify the rest of her body for the attack, another tentacle of the same color and shape as the one we saw slashing through the panel view at the end of the last page grabs her leg. KAGU-TSUCHI [Cont. Off-Panel translated from Japanese; to Ghede]: A little slice of home, Ghede! Panel 2-5: A four-part set of panels. They're centered around our titular heroine, who fights back as hard as she can. Her Molltach slashing at different parts of the almost octopus-like appendage as it drags the courageous spectre over to the small metal-lined door which only appears in the right of the panel view in Panel 5. Page 20, 6 Panels- Kagu-Tsuchi's Mountaintop Dwelling Panel 1: Cut to the interior of a high-walled room, apparently larger than anything else in the cabin, where the metal-lined doggy door (which appears up in the ceiling around the top left corner of the panel view) moments after the action of the last panel of the previous page. We see the blue tentacle wrapped around the midsection of our titular heroine, dragging her inside and hurling the body with great force to the ground. Panel 2: Cut to ground level a second later where we see Ghede slam hard onto the wooden floor. You can see the body, through a set of three images, drag forward up to the right of the panel view. The broken sight of wooden planks spray on both sides as a result of the crash as well as the super sharp blade of the Minaj. Panel 3: Close-up a few moments later on the Haitian guerrier. She glares over in the direction of her opponent with her sword at her left side. Her body has the prior signs of scarring and the like; all of which is already healing as she speaks. The shadow of the tentacle can be seen just above her head as it retracts back to its prior position off-panel. You can see a mid-sized glass window in the background, showing more of the degrading environment outside. GHEDE [translated from Japanese; to Kazugu-Tsuchi]: Oh, look at that... Panel 4: Cut to a shot over Ghede's shoulder, looking out into a pool of darkness. The only image we can see in the area is a shadow. One that is not any taller than a standard human male or female, at least from what we can see. GHEDE [Cont., sarcastic]: An ass holding an ass! Panel 5-6: Close-up on the shadow moments later. The natural light that fills the room from above hits the mysterious shadow, illuminating the stern face of Kazuo Ozawa. We can see that the titan of industry looks considerably younger than we last left him, holding the Asson in his right hand. In Panel 6, as the rest of the light hits his body, we see that his sharp clothing has changed somewhat to match the regal color scheme of the Japanese water god. Also, his face has taken on many of the same qualities of Kagu-Tsuchi down to the ear-to-ear scar located at the base of his neck. KAZUGU-TSUCHI [chuckling, translated from Japanese; Panel 5]: Oh Ghede... KAZUGU-TSUCHI [Cont., evil grin; Panel 6]: You act as if you've already won!
