The Boo-Ya! #6: Pages 7-8
Page 7, 6 Panels- The Boo-Ya!, somewhere over Jupiter Panel 1: We cut to a shot of the ceiling on the opposite side of the room from where we've been seeing Ms. Cartwright since the start of the previous page. You can see a speaker located on the far corner of the ceiling where Capaldi is addressing our human protagonist, along with the sight of the lighting fixtures that we partially saw earlier in the issue. CAPALDI [from the speaker]: The Boo-Ya! was formerly an advance colony cruiser in the Tristellar Alliance SkyForce before its liberation six rohtlas ago by our current captain, the Madam. We now serve as a mercenary ship for hire fighting against, in her words, "the corrupt and hypocritical asshats who hold the levers of power in the galaxy." As for the "woke up" part of your question, well... Panel 2: Cut back to a shot of Robin's face a second later. She looks on at the speaker, transfixed by the words of the bodyless A.I. You can see her mind trying to wrap her head over it, while also holding back a sudden rush of geekish glee that, at this point, bubbles deep within her stomach. CAPALDI [Cont., Off-Panel]: You have been asleep for approximately 12 Earth hours since being 'ported on-board from Ey-arth. Panel 3-5: A three-part set of panels that are centered on the same setting and layout that we saw in the previous panel. In Panel 3, you can see the giddiness start to rise ever higher inside Ms. Cartwright's body. It takes the form of a giant smile that comes over her face as the meaning starts to click together. In Panel 4, the joy reaches its exponential level and she lets out a jovial "SQUEE!" to herself. However, in the next panel, you can see something is wrong with her as her eyes start to roll back into the back of her head. CAPALDI [curious, Panel 3]: I know you may have questions as to what happened at the Pier. You should know, however, that Staehlia was left with the option of either leaving you to the local authorities or taking you onboard. She only did what she thought was... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [giddy, Panel 4]: SPACESHIP! [chuckles] I'm on a fracking spa... CAPALDI [Panel 4]: Ms. Cartwright?...Human bird? Oh my, I've seen this before. CAPALDI [Cont., Panel 5]: Whenever someone first goes through the Hopper, even if they'd had a long sleep period, their minds can sometimes become disjointed and they... Panel 6: We pull back to the other side of the bed a second later to see the young Robin collapsing to the floor, leaving a hard "THUD!" on the metal floor as she descends from view. You can see on the left of the panel view for the first time the sight of the entrance door to the room. CAPALDI [finishing his thought]: ...black out. CAPALDI [sarcastic tinged, Bubble 2]: That was...about as expected! Page 8, 5 Panels- Command Center, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We cut to a shot of Staehlia seated at her station in the command center of the ship. Her eyes quickly looking over a stream of data that comes across a screen, registering as a string of indecipherable lines and numbers in front of her. She's dressed in a nice looking gray and silver top with her hair cleaned up compared to what we saw from her in the last issue. You can see her eyes glancing up toward the ceiling at the presence of Capaldi's brogue addressing the Titanian. CAPALDI [from the top of the panel, to Staehlia]: Staehlia, the stray human bird has woken up...and promptly collapsed in your room. If you would mind tending to her before she makes a mess-- Panel 2: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout widens to take in more of the station, showing Staehlia's full body as she stands up from her chair. Her head is tilted up properly toward the ceiling in order to address the ship's A.I., compared to the mere glance she gave in Panel 1. STAEHLIA [interjecting, to Staehlia]: I am on my way, Capaldi. Panel 3: Action shot of the young genius as she cuts across the walkway of the center toward the entrance door at the left of the panel view.. You can see the whole of the command center in the panel in the same type of design and layout as the first time we saw it in Issue 1, including the Madam seated at the captain's chair and Nessa steering at the wheel. STAEHLIA [Cont., with extra emphasis]: And she is not a human bird. At least I am partially certain of this. Panel 4: Cut to a close-up of Nessa at the wheel a minute later. She watches as her compatriot passes her by in a blur to the left of the panel view, giving her a smirk and a chuckle. Along with the layout of the Titanian, you can also see in the backgroud part of the Madam looking on at the conversation at the same time. NESSA [playfully, to Staehlia]: True, but she is a stray. One who better not have touched my bett'n ice-pahkas! Panel 5: We cut to a shot of the Madam a second later. The layout is similar to the one we saw in the previous panel, showing a close-up of her face and giant shoulders. She looks on as her subordinate reaches the door through the course of the panel. There's the same playful look on her face, giving a half-grin as she speaks. THE MADAM [adding on to Nessa's thought, to Staehlia]: Or fling her twinsechstin on the flarking glass...I just shinied the bett'n thing after we clanged into the metal Viking passing Marsz.
