The Boo-Ya! #6: Pages 13-14

Page 13, 5 Panels- Hallway, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1-2: We move to a shot of Staehlia's response to the question over the course of a few seconds. The background in both panels is similar to the ones we saw during her panels in the previous page. In Panel 1, the genius hesitates slightly and looks toward the floor, trying to explain it in a way that doesn't cause an incident at that moment. In Panel 2, Staehlia returns her attention back to the young human woman. STAEHLIA [explanatory, to Robin; Panel 1]: Well..."abduction" usually entails that there was some type of motive behind it, or that I targeted you specifically for some reason. STAEHLIA [Cont., Panel 2]: This was more of an...operation of mercy. Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Robin standing in the same position we left her in in the last panel of the previous page. She looks on dumbfounded at the fairly nonchalant explanation to what happened, walking forward toward her captor to confront her. You can see behind her in the background the hulking planet start to fade out of view. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [angry, to Staehlia]: "Mercy?!" What mercy could there be to justify stealing me off my fracking... Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. After taking three steps forward, Ms. Cartwright stops and clutches her stomach in a considerable amount of pain. She places her right arm on the abdomen area, and the top half of her body tilts forward as she grimaces in considerable pain. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [grunting]: GAHHAGHH! Panel 5: Close-up on Robin's midsection a few moments later. You can see her right hand lifting up the bottom of her hoodie to reveal a scar above her belly button, moving from left to right in the panel view. There's also the presence of some type of stitching to the wound that is faintly visible to the reader, as if it were done by some type of powerful laser device. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [speech bubble from the top of the page, at a loss for words]: Wh--uhm...I got stabbed! How the--? STAEHLIA [Cont., Off-Panel]: The explosion of the "Goldmember"... Page 14, 6 Panels- Hallway, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: Cut to a side shot of Staehlia standing in front of Robin (who is visible in Panel 2) with her arms at her side a split second later. You can see her hand reaching into the same pocket of her trousers where her comm is located as she speaks. You can also see, in the background, the rush of stars a little section of stars as the ship continues onward. STAEHLIA [Cont., to Robin]: At first, the debris was caught in the ecclasanium fueled blast, slowing down the perceived flow of time for anyone inside the shockwave. Once it dissipated though, there was an increase in speed to compensate for the change in speed which carved into your midsection. If I left you on that planet, there was a high likelihood that you would have died. STAEHLIA [Bubble 2, in response to Panel 2]: Basically, yes... Panel 2: We move to a similar type of side shot that was the case in the previous panel of Robin, connecting both panels in one single motif. She is seen listening to the explanation from the young Titanian. Her hand pressed off the stomach wound, letting the rest of her hoodie drift back down to its normal alignment. For the first time in a while, she understands, in her own way what's being told to her at that moment. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [looking to see she understands everything]: So I was basically caught up in a Zero Matter bomb...without the hideous black hole. Panel 3: Cut to a close-up of Staehlia's face a moment later. She looks clearly surprised by the response from our human protagonist. There's a little crack of a smile that comes over her face in terms of the surprise as she speaks. STAEHLIA [Cont. pleasantly surprised]: I did not know your planet had mastered Zero Matter technology. Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels that focus back on Robin in a similar type of close-up fashion that we saw with Staehlia in Panel 3. In Panel 4, we see Ms. Cartwright set to answer in a casual, explanatory fashion. But stops herself by the time we reach Panel 5, thinking about the right explanation that can fit here. A handful of seconds later, in Panel 6, Robin is seen heading back to Staehlia while doing faux robotic movements with the subsequent overdone alien accent. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [explanatory, to Staehlia; Panel 4]: Actually... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [shaking her head, Panel 5]: Never mind, would take too long to explain. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., Panel 6]: So...take me to your leader? ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [thought bubble, Panel 6]: Always wanted to do that!
