The Boo-Ya! #6: Pages 17-18

Page 17, 6 Panels- Hallway/Command Center, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1-2: Cut back to Staehlia in a similar setting and layout to the one that we saw in the second-to-last panel of the previous page. She looks on and gives a subtle, respectful nod to the human protagonist's suggestion. In Panel 2, however, the young Titanian is interrupted mid-thought by the sound of her captain over the speakers. Her eyes looking up toward the ceiling in order to hear the Madam. STAEHLIA [accommodating, to Robin; Panel 1]: I can certainly accommodate such a request. Just tell me precisely what you want to tell this human, and I can-- THE MADAM [from the speakers, to the ladies; Panel 2]: Apologies for interrupting any warm bonding fuzzies with your pet, Stahl. Panel 3: Cut to a shot of the good captain in the command center, standing in front of her chair and looking toward the off-panel viewscreen at this moment. Her face denoting something that is equal parts happy and annoyed after the conversation she had had prior to this announcement. You can see in the background part of the console in the command center as she speaks. THE MADAM [Cont.]: But I need you and your pet here. A new job's popped up. Panel 4: Same setting as the first couple of panels. The layout shifts to the ceiling looking down, widening a little bit to incorporate Robin who is standing next to her, looking on with a bit of consternation. Staehlia nods in acknowledgment to her captain and the announcement. A level of curiosity tinged in her words at that moment. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT: Meatbag? The hell--? STAEHLIA [curious, ignoring Robin; to the Madam]: Who's the job with? S'AMAHNTA [Off-Panel, through the speakers]: Is that Staehlia? Hello, Stahl! STAEHLIA [Bubble 2]: Hello, S'am... Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few seconds later, we see Staehlia take a stride forward down the hallway in the direction of the command center. Robin is still stationary in the same spot she was in in the previous panel, looking on with the same level of consternation and annoyance that she had in Panel 4. STAEHLIA [Cont., to S'amahnta]: It has been a long while. How was the noise-cancelling sensors in your Enlightenment Room? S'AMAHNTA [Off-Panel, through the speakers]: They are superb, thank you. STAEHLIA [to S'am and then the Madam, Bubble 2]: Very good to hear...I will be there in a few minuyats, cap'n. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [annoyed, to Staehlia]: Wait a minute, Staehlia... Panel 6: Cut to a shot of Robin a second later, quickly walking toward the young Titanian in an effort to catch up to the quicker footed alien. Her annoyance is kept at the same, relatively high level that it was back in the previous panel. She points up with her left hand toward the speakers. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont.]: That's the second time your "cap'n" has called me a "pet!" STAEHLIA [Off-Panel, to Robin]: She does that with most creatures that come onboard her ship uninvited. Page 18, 7 Panels- Hallway/Command Center, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We move back to a shot of Staehlia a few moments later. Her face looking back in the direction of our human protagonist as she struggles to try to catch up to the faster alien. The background of the cold, metal interior moves past her on all sides as she speaks. STAEHLIA [Cont.]: You should be thankful she has not the urge to kill you. Yet. Panel 2: Cut to a close-up shot of Robin a split second later as she moves closer to the young Titanian. Her mouth hangs agape at the last part of the sentence. You can see her mind trying to comprehend the precise meaning behind it. In the background, as she speaks, you can also see it moving with the same quick speed that we saw in the previous panel. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [confused, with a nervous laugh; to Staehlia]: That...that's a joke, right? Panel 3: We widen to a front shot a half-minute later that takes in Staehlia on the left of the panel view. Robin's apprehension and nervousness grows compared to the previous panel, hoping for any type of answer from the stoic faced Staehlia. The background around them moves with the same constant movement as the other two panels as she speaks. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., hoping for any answer]: I mean...she's never actually killed anyone before, right? Panel 4-5: A two-part set of panels that are centered on the same setting and layout as the previous panel. In Panel 4, Robin looks on in anxious anticipation to what the answer will be, though to no avail as Staehlia remains silent. Finally, in Panel 5, the Titanian tilts her head to the side to finally address Ms. Cartwright; her face remaining as stoic as it was before. STAEHLIA [to Robin, Panel 5]: Would it be comforting to you to say she has not? ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [quick nod, to Staehlia; Panel 5]: ...Yeah, probably. STAEHLIA [Panel 5, Bubble 2]: Then I will not say that she has. Those she has killed, however, have all been for good reasons... Panel 6-7: Cut to an interior shot of the Madam in the command center. Her left hand is placed on the top of her captain's chair, listening to S'amahnta this whole time. She lets out a mighty sigh by the time we reach Panel 7, squeezing the leather of the chair as she speaks. You can see the same slice of the command center behind her in both panels that we saw in her last appearance in the previous page. STAEHLIA [Cont. Off-Panel, Panel 6]: "Not counting the instances she dreamt of violent deaths for her enemies." THE MADAM [to S'amahnta, Panel 7]: You dropped out of my life for over two rohtlas to go "full-time" with that flarking politico.
