The Boo-Ya! #7: Pages 5-6

Page 5, 6 Panels- TARDIS, Holodeck 1, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We move to a shot of Ms. Cartwright standing in front the holographic console, that is visible in the background, with her back against it. She looks up at the taller captain in a similar fashion of someone putting on an aura of strength when they don't feel ready to share it publicly. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [shaking her head, to the Madam]: No no, just...came here to clear my head. What's up? Panel 2-3: A two-part set of panels that focus back on the Madam dressed in a T-shirt that highlights her muscular physique, comfortable fitting pants and her trademark black leather jacket. In Panel 2, the Killeman is seen walking up the staircase and looking around at the architecture as she speaks. In the next panel, a handful of moments later, she stops and properly looks over in Robin's direction. THE MADAM [Panel 2]: We should be closing in on Ervaht. I noticed in the logs this morgen that you've made this location on the Holodeck over a half-dohzeen times since you got onboard. THE MADAM [Cont. after a pause, to Robin; Panel 3]: I'm not that good at the touchy-feely bits, but...Stahl's a good outlet to vent, if all this space stuff gets too much for that human brain of yours. Panel 4: Back to Robin a second later who appears a bit confused, but flattered, by the offer from the alien captain. The setting and layout is similar here to what we saw in the page's first panel, along with the background. She lifts her back slightly off the railing to the console as she speaks. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to the Madam, struggling to find the right words]: Thanks Mada...cap...m...[uneasy chuckle] Sorry, I'm--I'm still not sure what I should call you. Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A couple of seconds of unease pass, we see our human protagonist scratching the back of her head in ponderous thought. She gives a slight shrug to the good captain, displaying a little more unease in her body language. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont., apologetically]: Do you have, like, a first name I can use? THE MADAM [chuckles, Off-Panel]: Twinsechstin! I haven't had one of those since I was very young...just call me Madam. Panel 6: Cut to a close-up on the Madam's face a second later with a proud smile over her face as she speaks. In the background, you can see nothing but white light around her emanating from the hallway outside, framed with black on both sides and up top. THE MADAM [Cont.]: Or "Cap'n," if you survive and stay on after this job. Page 6, 5 Panels- TARDIS, Holodeck 1, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We shift back to Robin in a setting and layout that is similar to what we saw in the second-to-last panel of the previous page. She takes a step forward from the console, letting go of the grip from her right hand on the edge of the holographic console. There's a look of surprised befuddlement on the woman's face over what the Killeman had said. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [quick stammer, to the Madam]: I--I'm flattered you think I can survive it. But what makes you think I'd stay on instead of wanting to...you know, go back home to Earth? Panel 2-3: A two-part set of panels that have the Madam as the man visual focal point. In Panel 2, the setting and layout is similar to the last panel of the previous page. It's here that she gives a dismissive and knowing shrug at the question, fueled by a good amount of experience when it comes to stragglers on her ship. In the next panel, the layout widens to take in our human protagonist looking on from the right of the panel view as the good captain walks out of the Holodeck. THE MADAM [seeking to calm her down, Panel 2]: Just a guess, little Robin, fueled by what I've dealt with on this rig in the past from stowaways like you. How badly they can check out, and how much they want to hook up with us long-term once after a string of success ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: Should I ask what you've seen? THE MADAM [casual, yet business; Panel 3]: Not if you wanna sleep or eat something with noodles in it again. Now clam up and get to the cargo bay...we're here. Panel 4: Cut to a close-up of Robin in a similar setting and layout to what we saw at the top of the page. She takes a couple of steps away from the console, slipping her hands into the pockets of her borrowed trousers. The surprise Ms. Cartwright displayed in Panel 1 has been replaced by one of confusion over the last two words from the Madam. You can hear, as this goes on, the sound of boots walking along the "metal flooring" toward the entrance. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to the Madam]: "Here" where? Panel 5: We move back to a side shot of the good Killeman moments later, standing in the middle of the doorway to the Holodeck. She looks back to the right in the human's direction, flashing her a clever smile as she speaks. In terms of the background, it is split between the walls of the holographic TARDIS toward the right and the walls of the hallway visible on the left of the panel view. THE MADAM [holding part of the doorway with her upstage hand, to Robin]: To the greatest hideaway in half-dohzeen star systems (next to your planet, of course). Where souls of all shapes, sizes, physical dimensions, and sexual tastes can be themselves, undetectable by even the most advanced of military outfits...
