The Boo-Ya! #7: Pages 7-8

Page 7, 7 Panels- Hallway, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1: We move to a single little shot from the viewscreen of the ship of Ervaht as it comes closer into view. At this point, it's close enough that we see a nicely sized building that resembles a Bed & Breakfast resting on top of an asteroid surrounded by millions of other asteroids in a belt that stretches left to right. THE MADAM [Cont., Off-Panel]: ...Ervaht! Panel 2: Cut to a shot of the good captain (on the left) and Robin (on the right) walking side-by-side down the hallway a half-minute after the end of the previous page. The setting of rapidly moving stars can be seen through the windows nearest Ms. Cartwright as they speak. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [confused, to the Madam]: Ervaht...The big alien Quiet Room where the meeting's taking place? You--You want me there with you? THE MADAM [calm, to Robin]: Yep... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Bubble 2]: Can I ask why? I mean, I just got here. Staehlia and that Nessa lady have been here longer than I have. They've probably been there longer than-- Panel 3-4: Cut to a close-up on the Madam a second later. She tilts her head first to the left in Panel 3 with a dismissive attitude to her earlier concern. Then, in the next panel a few seconds later, the Killeman turns to the right toward Ms. Cartwright to finish off her thought. In the background, in both panels, you can see the front doors and walls nearby her go by from left to right. THE MADAM [interjecting, to Robin; Panel 3]: I need Nessa at the wheel, near the big guns in case someone with a score tries to get a jump on us while the meeting's going on. THE MADAM [Cont., Panel 4]: And Stahl...Stahl's brilliant, but she's pretty terrible at lying. Which isn't a great asset when you're trying to get work. Therefore... Panel 5-7: We move to a close-up on our human protagonist a second later, understanding in an instant precisely what the Madam's talking about at that moment. She nods quickly and looks down to the ground, empathizing with the aforementioned piece of self-discovery as the background scenery starts to slow down a little more (a wall is visible toward the edge of Panel 7). After a brief pause, in Panel 7, she tilts her head up and notices the lift that is (to the reader) off-panel right now. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [interjecting, Panel 5]: I'm gonna ride shotgun by default. Like Dodgeball all over again... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to the Madam, curious; Panel 7]: So, if things do go bad, do I get some type of cool alien weapon to back you up...like a sword or a laser blaster? THE MADAM [Off-Panel, Panel 7]: Hahahaha....Not a chance in the darkest hells! Page 8, 6 Panels- Hallway/Lift, the Boo-Ya! Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that center back on the Madam standing in front of the keypad next to the ship's lift. In Panel 1, with her back to the audience, we see her activating the button that would summon them to this part of the ship. Then in the next panel, as the lift does its job with a steady hum, the good captain turns around and poses in front of our human protagonist confidently. THE MADAM [Cont., to Robin; Panel 1]: First off, I don't want you holding any bett'n thing that could hurt me, given your species' penchance for panicking easily in pressure situations. Secondly... THE MADAM [Cont., Panel 2]: Does this look like someone who needs someone backing her up? SOUND EFFECT [from the elevator doors next to the Madam, Panel 2]: BING! Panel 3: Cut to a shot from inside the lift, showing the Madam and Robin stepping inside moments later. You can see our human protagonist over the left shoulder of the captain, who is the first to step inside the lift. There's a look of dejected agreement in Ms. Cartwright's eyes to the Madam's general theory as she follows behind her. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to the Madam]: ...Fair point. And probably for the best with my luck. THE MADAM [reassuringly]: Don't worry, there's plenty of cool shtuff in Ervaht for that human brain of yours to enjoy. Panel 4-5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel a handful of moments later. With Ms. Cartwright firmly ensconced inside the gray and silver colored lift to the left of the panel view, you can see the metal doors quickly start to close behind them. In Panel 5, the doors are firmly closed and the Madam's gaze looks skyward toward the ceiling to issue her command to Capaldi. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [curious, Panel 4]: Like what? THE MADAM [pondering, Panel 4]: Well...there's some great food. Holodecks are pretty awesome, bigger than ours that's for bett'n sure, and is pretty flexible for whatever sexual tastes you have. THE MADAM [Panel 4, Bubble 2]: Also, they make a pretty awesome drink called a Choi'nzz, blends some base hard alcohol with a few...poppers thrown in. It's sort of like mixing Bud Lite and Adderrall. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Panel 4, Bubble 2]: Whoa! THE MADAM [Panel 4, Bubble 3]: Oh yeah...! THE MADAM [to Capaldi, Panel 5]: Cargo Bay, Capaldi... CAPALDI [from the top of the lift, to the Madam; Panel 5]: Aye, cap'n! Panel 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. With the doors now firmly closed, the lift roars back to life in its journey down toward the ship's cargo bay. The Madam is decidedly more relaxed and at ease with her hands in the pockets of her jacket. Her eyes tilting back from the ceiling, split between Robin and the door to the lift. THE MADAM [carrying on her previous train of thought, to Robin]: It also works wonders after traveling in a space suit. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [curious/intrigued, to the Madam]: "Space suit?" Wait, are we? Am I...?!
