The Boo-Ya! #8: Pages 7-8
Page 7, 4 Panels- Hallway, 5 Floors Down, Mientahl
Panel 1: We move to a shot of the five of them minutes later walking down a hallway 5 floors below from the Docking Bay that we were in back in the previous page. The Madam and Dr. Arxin are leading the group in front, chatting with each other in a convivial and business-like manner. The other three are seen sparingly in the background behind them with Robin in between Nessa and Staehlia.
DR. ARXIN [to the Madam]: The CC-2. Just finished her a weatt ago, looking for someoneto use it till S'am called. I had to barter its Talonite battery from a rancid smelling Evyallian at a mall three zeheps from here. It should be enough to keep the device powered for roughly...35-40 horuts non-stop before gunning for a recharge. THE MADAM [impressed, to Dr. Arxin]: Nice, Doc! What'd you give up? DR. ARXIN [Bubble 2]: Nothing big. Just some first-gen ice pahkas, and a copy of an old hardcore tetnilfilm I kept from my time in the Capitol. THE MADAM [Bubble 2]: Tetnilfilm? Haven't seen one of those since I was barely in adolescence. They still do the thing with the...? DR. ARXIN [Bubble 3]: Hahah...oh yeah! I'll send you one of my TFs for your Holodeck after we're finished here.
Panel 2-4: A three-part set of panels that centers behind the main pair we saw in the previous larger panel. In particular, it's focused on Ms. Cartwright and Nessa who are engaged in their own conversation. At first, in Panel 2, they're silent with Robin focused squarely on the metal back of the good Doctor, trying to find out what's going on. In the next panel, she tilts her head closer toward Nessa to whisper her statements for the last pair of panels.
STAEHLIA [Off-Panel left, to Dr. Arxin; Panel 2]: Were you able to handle the cell frequencies for the individual wearers? DR. ARXIN [Off-Panel right, to Staehlia; Panel 2]: Somewhat, Stahl. That's why I'd love to test it once before I leave it to you... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [curious, to Nessa; Panel 3]: Is...Is Dr. Arxin a human like me? What's with that metal suit she's wearing? NESSA [shakes her head, to Robin; Panel 3]: No, she comes from the Capitol. Physiology's similar for natives there compared to you guys, but...much, much different. Capitol's where the Alliance calls home; pretty cool place...if you have the ched. NESSA [Cont.; Panel 3, Bubble 2]: And she wears that suit because she's currently in the middle of the No-Death Transition, which you might know by its other name-- ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [interjecting with surprise, Panel 4]: immortality...you can actually do that?! NESSA [nods, Panel 4]: For the right price, yeah. But it takes a long bett'n time and pretty much everything you touch hurts, not to mention the hideous stench that builds up after awhile. She's been going through it for a few monats. NESSA [Cont.; Panel 4, Bubble 2]: If you want, I know some peeps who can get you in on the cheap, after we're through with it. ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Panel 4, Bubble 2]: I'll think about it...thanks.
Page 8, 6 Panels- Hallway/An'x's Laboratory, 5 Floors below the Docking Bay, Mientahl
Panel 1: A minuyat later, the group stops in front of a pair of metal doors to the Doctor's lab that exist almost at the end of the hallway. The good Doctor breaks away slightly, moving toward a little check-in station at the left of the door that looks somewhat like an ATM station. You can see Robin's head tilt up, taking in the full scope of the entrance that stretches up to the ceiling.
ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [impressed, to herself]: Very Nostromo, Doctor...without the foreboding sense of doom-- DR. ARXIN [interjects]: Yet!
Panel 2-3: Cut to a close-up of An'x typing in the access code to enter the building. The glow from the display screen shines the side of her face as she responds to Ms. Cartwright's statement from the previous panel. In Panel 3, Dr. Arxin turns her attention back to it in order to engage the last part of the security process.
DR. ARXIN [Cont., to Robin; Panel 2]: I've got plenty of things in the lab that qualify as "doom"-worthy. DR. ARXIN [Cont., Panel 3]: Especially if you're stupid enough to touch it.
Panel 4: We move to a side shot of the good Doctor bending her head down toward the same level as the view screen. She opens her mouth and you can see a long, reptilian-like tongue exit her mouth toward the right of the panel view. You can see, from above that same area, the sight of a sound bubble from where her tongue slipped in.
SOUND BUBBLE: DING!
Panel 5-6: A two-part set of panels that move back to our human heroine, watching as the doors part in front of her, letting in a beam of light from inside the building that illuminates her face more and more with one panel to the next. As this goes on, you can hear the sound of footsteps on the ground moving forward.
ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [thought bubble, Panel 6]: By Tennant's tight ass...!
