The Boo-Ya! #8: Pages 9-10
Page 9, 4 Panels- Dr. Arxin's Lab, 5 floors below the Docking Bay, Mientahl
Panel 1: Cut to a scanning shot of the laboratory that stretches out into the distance, illuminated by a series of halogen-looking lights on the roof. In the lab there are a series of racks filled with different devices that range from small grenade-looking devices to portable armor devices. You can faintly see a table along with scientific equipment near the front placed racks.
DR. ARXIN [Off-Panel, to the Madam]: That's a decent price, if not a little...paltry. You can pay up after we run the test on the Invisicloak. THE MADAM [Off-Panel, to Dr. Arxin]: Fine, fine Doc. S'am also said you have a 3-D layout of the MP's office.
Panel 2-4: A three-part set of panels that moves to a ceiling placed shot of the group as they walk past some of the racks of gear that we saw in the previous panel toward the main lab. Initially, we see the Madam and Dr. Arxin in the botom of the panel, moving out of view by the time we reach Panel 4. As for our human protagonist, she is seen at the tail end of the group looking around and taking in the amazing scenery put in front of her. In Panel 4, Robin stops upon seeing a row of vials.
DR. ARXIN [explanatory, to the Madam; Panel 2]: Yeah, I made it after our blue-skinned friendo ringed me. I should have it somewhere in the desk of my lab. DR. ARXIN [Cont.; Panel 2, Bubble 2]: Now, be warned, the cloaking device I've built is only able to take in one user at a time. In case you had any inkling of doing the job yourself. THE MADAM [scoffing laughter, to Dr. Arxin; Panel 2]: Like flarking hells I did! Besides, Ness volunteered for the gig. She's the best at that covert stuff. She can slide in and get the remote from the politico's office without them noticing. STAEHLIA [inquiring, standing behind the Madam; Panel 3]: What about the human? Have we decided what her role will be on this job? THE MADAM [turns back to Staehlia, Panel 3]: You think she'll be able to keep her head in one piece? You saw how she reacted when she woke up on the ship. I'm not gonna chance having the TA screw us over if she goes all nutty again. STAEHLIA [Panel 3, Bubble 2]: I know she is not the most skilled of our crew, but what skills she does have could be used to our advantage. STAEHLIA [Cont. understanding, to the Madam from the bottom of the panel view; Panel 4]: Besides, this may unlock some previously unforeseen and advantageous skill set that could benefit us in the future. THE MADAM [Panel 4]: [chuckles] Gods, I'd love to believe that!
Page 10, 6 Panels- Dr. Arxin's Lab, 5 floors below the Docking Bay, Mientahl
Panel 1-3: A two-part set of panels that center on the same setting and layout as the last panel of the previous page. Robin leans closer and closer toward the half-dozen vials of light blue liquid. You can see her in Panel 2 reach out to grab one of the vials with what appears to be a lightning bolt scrawled on the label. Just as she's about to touch it in Panel 3, however, there's a faint red flicker that comes into play.
Panel 4: Action shot of Ms. Cartwright getting bombarded by a bolt of red energy from the area she was about to touch. The layout is widened to show the full grasp of her being lifted a couple of feet in the air toward another rack six feet from where she stood.
Panel 5-6: Cut to a shot of her crashing into the large rack filled with large bracelet-lie cuffs that we saw in the previous panel. Robin is clearly in pain as a result of what's happened, slowly rising to her feet by the time we reach Panel 6. You can hear the sound of metal off-panel at the bottom of the panel view coming from one of the cuffs that fell down as a result of the impact.
ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [pained/woozy, to herself; Panel 5]: Fuck me with a vibrating taco...!
