The Boo-Ya! #8: Pages 11-12

Page 11, 5 Panels- Dr. Arxin's Lab, 5 floors underneath the Docking Bay, Mientahl

Panel 1: Cut to a shot of Staehlia glancing over her shoulder quizzically, trying to discern the source of the noise that (unbeknownst to her) is Robin crashing into the row of metal gear that we saw at the end of the previous page. Her eyebrow is raised at the same moment as she speaks.

STAEHLIA [to everyone in the room]: Did you hear something?

Panel 2: We move to a shot of Dr. Arxin and the Madam on the other side of the table. They look on at their Titanian colleague with the same curious and quizzical gaze that Staehlia did. In front of them, you can see a smattering of documents that laid out previous experiments the Doctor had done before with a silver metal backpack on top of some of them. In the background, you can see the tops of cages on a table behind both of them.

DR. ARXIN [to Staehlia]: Hear what?

Panel 3: Back to Staehlia in a similar setting and layout to what we saw at the top of the page. She shifts her gaze back in front toward the two elder colleagues. Her mind going through the points she'd been able to piece together between Panel 1 and then.

STAEHLIA [to Dr. Arxin]: It sounded like a hard slam, followed by a lot of metal objects falling...and some weird variation of an Earth expletive.

Panel 4-5: Same setting/layout in both panels as what we saw in Panel 2, split in both to focus on An'x and the Madam. In Panel 5, we see the good Doctor looking out in the direction of the metal racks twenty feet from the scene right now. The Madam is seen to the left of her in Panel 4, already dismissive of any nefarious meaning behind the mystery noise.

DR. ARXIN [shaking her head, to Staehlia; Panel 5]: I don't see anything, Stahl… THE MADAM [following on the Doctor's train of thought, to Staehlia; Panel 4]: The human probably bumped into one of the cabinets. You know how rubbish their eyesight can be.

Panel 1: Cut back to a shot from the Titanian a few moments later. She looks over in the direction where she heard the noise in the previous page. Her prior unease is still visible in her body language, though she's beginning to come along to the captain's train of thought.

STAEHLIA [apprehensive nod]: Yes, that…probably is the case.

Panel 2: Back to the Madam and the Doctor in a similar setting and layout to what we saw at the end of the previous page. The physically imposing Athosian looks over toward her pilot and her communication officer, her arms crossed over her chest, while An'x picks the back pack up off the table.

DR. ARXIN [to Nessa, heavily enthused]: So...let's do some science!

Panel 3: We move to a joint shot from the other side of the table of Staehlia and Nessa. Staehlia looks over in the direction of her compatriot, placing a sympathetic hand on the shoulder of her less than enthused friend.

NESSA [sighs]: Yay... STAEHLIA [to Nessa, sympathetically]: The chances of the Invisicloak scarring you at the genetic level is currently 10 trillion to 1.

Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous page. A second later, we see a mildly annoyed Nessa grab the backpack with one hand, looking to the side at her Titanian compadre who has a calm grin over her face.

NESSA [annoyed/nervous, to Staehlia]: That's not the scarring I'm worrying about, Stahl. STAEHLIA: You will be fine, my friend. I would be more than happy to take care of any broken bone or muscle that may emerge back on the ship. THE MADAM [Off-Panel, to Nessa and Staehlia]: Stop grumbling and put the bett'n device on, Ness! NESSA [to the Madam, Bubble 2]: Yes, ma'am...

Panel 5: Action shot of the Killeman a moment later, looping the first of the backpack's strap over her muscular shoulder. She looks in that direction, noticing how tiny it will likely look on her frame.

NESSA [remarks, holding a little chuckle]: Oh flark this…I’m definitely not wearing this come mission time! DR. ARXIN [Off-Panel, to Nessa]: It's not meant to be fashionable, Nessa.
