James Brighton Society, Chapter 3: Pages 15-16
Page 15, 5 Panels- Tian's Lair, D2T2, Woodland area of Washington D.C.
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of the sorceress Tian floating above a cauldron located in the center of the shot. She is a dark green goblin with a wiry physique, dressed in a fine silk blue and yellow robe that drifts down on the horizon line of the cauldron. Her ovular eyes carefully looking over the document Dolph handed her minutes later.
TIAN [remarking in Grem's direction, now in English]: And you said this human female discovered this page underneath a dead man's bedroom.
Panel 2: Cut to a shot of Ms. Randolph looking up at the sorceress a second later. She nods and takes a step forward toward her, struggling a bit to find the right words to say at that moment. You can see her upstage hand touching the bottom edge of her coat as she speaks.
DET. RANDOLPH [to Tian]: Ye—Yes, ma'am. The man's named is Steve Brennan, though he's only been deemed missing at this moment, not murdered.
Panel 3: Same setting/layout as what we saw in the page's first panel. The sorceress looks up from the page and down toward the good Detective with apology in her eyes while the piece of paper slowly floats out from the palms of her long, surprisingly silky hands in the direction of Ms. Randolph.
TIAN [apologetically, remembering some factoid of humankind that popped in her head]: Oh yes…I forget your species lack the capacity to see into the future. Though the foreknowledge might prove advantageous in your line of work.
Panel 4-5: We go back to a shot of Tasha in Panel 4 a second later. She chuckles uneasily in regards to the statement, flashing a bare smile as she grabs the spell with her right hand, not really knowing precisely what to take of it. In Panel 5, we move back to Grem standing alongside the good Detective, lifting the balled-up crimson colored robe above his head to make sure the goblin sorceress can see.
DET. RANDOLPH [uneasy, steering back on point, to Tian; Panel 4]: Yeah, thanks for that. But that...that's only half of why we're here though. GREM [interjecting on top of the Detective's thought, Panel 5]: I found this robe from the same location as the page. I believe it comes from the defunct James Brighton Society.

Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels that cuts back to the sorceress as she magically takes the robe from the immortal Irishman's hands, unfurling it in a full fashion in front of her by the time we reach Panel 3. The back of the silky robe is primarily seen in this panel, covering up the center of her legs and the skirt Tian's wearing.
GREM [Cont., Off-Panel lower right corner; Panel 1]: We're hoping your magic could help us discover any bit of information from it. Was he a member? Was his boss a member? GREM [Off-Panel lower right corner, Panel 2]: By Hades, I'd happily take a location of their HQ at the very least.
Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels that centers on a close-up of Tian's face over the course of a few minutes. You can see her eyes spark and turn different colors through each panel. First a light sky blue (Panel 4), then a red-yellow mix (Panel 5), and then orange with a wave of bright hues in the area where the irises would be. All the while, you can hear the sound of murmurs and whispers floating around over top of her head in each of the three panels.
DET. RANDOLPH [caption, bottom left of the panel; Panel 4]: "Grem, what the hell's she doing?" GREM [caption, bottom right of the panel; Panel 4]: "She's tapping into the aura of the robe, grabbing every scrap of thought or aroma from any person who came into contact with the deceased while he wore it." DET. RANDOLPH [caption, bottom left of the panel; Panel 5]: "But you said it was shielded in that Level 3 protection spell." GREM [caption, bottom right of the panel; Panel 5]: "That only applies to curses. This is more of an observational magic. It's not all that different to, say...perusing the newspaper." DET. RANDOLPH [caption, bottom left of the panel; Panel 6]: "Or reading the P.A.L. on a Clockwork." GREM [caption, bottom right of the panel; Panel 6]: "Precisely! It can take her some time to sort through all of that, but her accuracy's never been--."
Panel 7: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A couple of seconds after the last caption of the previous panel, Tian's eyes flash back to their natural white and black configuration. The noise that was previously floating above the sorceress' head has now disappeared completely. Everything seems to come to a level tone at this point.
TIAN [ominously]: Arlington...An ivory mansion...A great danger will be unleashed on this scarred world...
