The Boo-Ya! #9: Pages 3-4

Page 3, 7 Panels- Dr. Arxin's Laboratory, 5 Floors beneath the Docking Bay, Mientahl

Panel 1-3: We move to a close-up on our human heroine in the same setting that we saw in the last panel of the previous page. In Panel 1, we see Robin press a button on the keypad that is unseen to the reader at this moment. A split second afterwards, in Panel 2, a metal wrapping emerges that wraps over her right arm from the elbow up to her hand by the time we move to Panel 3. A smile growing ever wider on the young woman's face as she watches it happen.

ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [giddy, Panel 2]: EEEEEEEEE! ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [to Dr. Arxin, Panel 3]: Please tell me there's an Iron Man suit setting.

Panel 4: Cut to a shot of An'x a second later, putting her left arm over her shoulder and quickly pushing her out in the direction that her friends are moving at that precise moment. Ms. Cartwright doesn't really care at this point. She's still transfixed by the beauty and overall shininess of the Arm-or on her.

DR. ARXIN [unsure, to Robin]: I'm not certain. It’s stored with nanites from the Talonite blended with a little refined dark matter that I scooped up at the far edge of the universe that can feasibly make an armored covering for your torso, among other features I'll teach you later.

Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A half-minute passes by, and we see the good Doctor turn around and jog back toward her workstation that is far off in the distance both of this panel and of Panel 4. It's here that Robin first notices the hurried action and turns her head to the side to address her.

DR. ARXIN [Cont.]: Right now though, I have valuable technology to keep out of the Alliance's hands. Your captain has already agreed to pick me up after things settle.

Panel 6-7: Close-up on the young woman's face a second later. Her body now fully turned back in the Doctor's direction, filled with the same curiousity that was hinted at back in the previous panel. You can see the door to the laboratory still opened a handful of steps away from where Ms. Cartwright is at. In the next panel, she realizes the answer to the question and gives a quick nod in An'x's direction. You can hear the sound of repulsor blasts faintly in the distance.

ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [curious, to Dr. Arxin; Panel 6]: Valuable technology? What do you... DR. ARXIN [Off-Panel, Panel 6]: No time for questions, humans. Go, go! ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [realizes, with a nod of respect; Panel 7]: Alright. Good luck Doc...see you later (preferably with fewer mercs chasing us)

Page 4, 5 Panels- Hallway, 5 floors beneath the Docking Bay, Mientahl

Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels that centers on Ms. Cartwright running down the hallway in the direction of the sound of loud repulsor blasts off in the distance that gets louder with each preceding panel. In Panel 2, she glances down as she makes a fist with the Arm-or. A wide smile coming over her face as she watches it glow a dark blue.

ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [narration caption, lifting her right arm; Panel 1]: My first proper alien battle. At least the first one where I have a chance not to die a terrible, screaming death. Armed with a shiny watch that creates protective nanite armor that... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont. narration caption, Panel 2]: Glows when I squeeze my hand into a fist! Oh...yeah! From pencil pusher to the frackin' Dwrn Ffyiant in one week flat... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [Cont. narration caption, Panel 3]: Ddod ag ef ar, life!

Panel 4-5: A two-part set of panels that centers, first, on an action shot of a big "BOOM!" that tears through the roof and lands with a floor-splitting "THUD!" six feet from where our human heroine is standing. In Panel 5, Robin turns and looks up at the ceiling where the blast came from to hear the voice.

ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [surprised, to herself; Panel 4]: Whoa'kay, that was pretty cool... ROBIN CARTWRIGHT [thought bubble, Panel 5]: And I immediately take it back!
