James Brighton Society, Chapter 4: Pages 7-8
Page 7, 6 Panels- Library, Arlington Virginia
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of the black-and-white photo that Mr. Allen has seen. It has a man in a crisp suit who looks like GV Jones (because it is), standing to the right of the mayor of Arlington at what appears to be a fundraiser or luncheon of some kind. You can see lines of text at the bottom of the photograph, though not really decipherable to the reader in terms of the reader's perspective.
GREM [Cont., Off-Panel]: By Hades, it's been awhile since I've seen that face. Easy guess that he's the king poobah behind the JBS' Stateside revival...the man always had an obsession over Brighton.
Panel 2: Action shot that takes place in a flashback showing Sir Reginald on top of a train, holding a rare Aborigines artifact in one hand, engaged in fierce sword-to-sword, battle with Gremlin late at night. You can see Miriam in the background of the shot diving down to take out Jones' legs in a surprise attack.
GREM [Off-Panel caption]: He looks the same as the last time I saw the man, on top of a train fighting over some Aborigines artifacts in Australia. A night that, I thought, ended in his death. He find his own Elixir of the Gods? It's possible, though the thought of it sickens me...eternity dueling with that twat!
Panel 3-4: A two-part set of panels that center back on the immortal Irishman at the table back in the library. In Panel 3, he quickly scans the article that comes next to the photograph as he's thinking. His reading is disrupted a minute later in Panel 4 by the sound of a worker CW from the left of the panel view.
GREM [Cont., thought bubble; Panel 3]: Anyway, that's a tomorrow problem. Right now, I've got a name. All I need now is-- LIBRARY CW [Off-Panel, to Grem; Panel 4]: Good morning, sir...
Panel 5: We move to a shot of the edge of the table a second later. There stands an ordinary library clockwork, 6 feet tall with the same type of massive mechanical build that was evident with the CSIs. Though dressed in a far more conservative manner befitting a Library worker. In the background, you can see part of another visitor to the library start to cross into view, unknowing of the conversation taking place.
LIBRARY CW [stiff and robotic, to Grem]: Are you in ne-need of s-some assistance?
Panel 6: Back to a shot of Mr. Allen at his seat at the table, looking up at the CW a second later. He flashes the mecha a courteous smile in regards to the question, holding the newspaper up with his upstage left hand a few inches from the tabletop. In the background, there is the sight of a railing that leads down to the ground floor of the library.
GREM [courteous, to Library CW]: Nah, I'm good. Thanks. GREM [thought bubble]: ...For the fourth bloody time!

Panel 1-3: We move to a three-part set of panels that centers on the library CW as it moves away from Grem (who is scribbling notes into a notebook) down the floor, returning to their own line of business. As the immortal Irishman fades from view with each scene, there's the sound of radio waves humming on a frequency that is only audible to the mecha.
LIBRARY CW [to GV Jones, Panel 3]: The Irishman has identified your photo in the Arlington Courier back issues. Permission to dispose of him? GV JONES [from the speaker chest, to Library CW; Panel 3]: Granted, but only when there aren't any witnesses nearby. LIBRARY CW [Panel 3, Bubble 2]: When will that be?
Panel 4: Cut to a shot of Mr. Allen taken minutes later as he emerges from the lift back to the library's first floor. The general setting of the area has been brightened up slightly by the presence of the oranges and yellows of the sunlight coming from the windows that are off-panel at this particular point.
GV JONES [Off-Panel]: Your section leader will notify you when ready.
Panel 5: Action shot of Grem moments later as he approaches the front desk. His back, particularly his pants and the black of the shamrock vest worn top of the somewhat dirty white buttoned up shirt, is shown to the reader. In the foreground, you can see the head librarian pleasantly greeting a customer as they leave with the books they checked out.
