James Brighton Society, Chapter 4: Pages 19-20
Page 19, 6 Panels- Street corner, Washington D.C.
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of Tasha straddling the CW thug a few seconds later. Her long bow is raised over her head, ready to hit the robot in the chest. You can see her right hand, as she speaks, flick a button on the side of the weapon with the blue-gray skies above her in the background.
DET. RANDOLPH [forceful, to the Thug]: Alright, estúpido--you have five seconds to tell me who's behind that little message of yours...
Panel 2: We move to a shot of the Thug as the good Detective turns the damaged, yet still functional body, over with her free hand. The mechanical, ovular eyes (with their red lenses) looking squarely in the direction of our heroine as she speaks. You can see the tip of a razor sharp blade that has emerged from the long bow from the top of the panel view, pointed at the robot's chest.
DET. RANDOLPH [Cont., Off-Panel]: Or I find out myself! One--Two--Three!
Panel 3: Before she could continue the countdown, the mechanical minion clocks Tasha in the jaw with a solid right hook. Her face, along with the rest of her body, jarred violently to the right and off of the mecha. You can see, in the rush of movement, the blade from her long bow slice off a chunk of the robot's mid-torso.
Panel 4: Cut to a rear shot moments later of Ms. Randolph and the now caught-up Officer Reese watching as the mecha flies up into the skies of the busy city back to its original location. You can hear the sound of pained groans coming from Tasha's right position in the mainly shadowy outline.
OFFICER REESE [to Det. Randolph]: ...Shit!
Panel 5-6: A two-part set of panels that starts on a side shot of our heroine and her friend a second later. In Panel 5, while the Officer's gaze is split between the JBS thug and her friend, we see Tasha upstage reach up for something that happened to be jammed in the middle of her blade just before she retracts it back inside her bow. In Panel 6, the good Detective brings down the metal tube for a better look.
OFFICER REESE [Cont., Panel 5]: You alright, Detective? DET. RANDOLPH [to Officer Reese, Panel 5]: Yeah, 'mokay. Sore as hell, but...still breathing. You get my notebook from the diner before taking off? OFFICER REESE [Panel 5, Bubble 2]: Yeah, I--I got it in my coat pocket. I'll give it back once we head back to the cruiser and... OFFICER REESE [Cont. pointing at the object, Panel 6]: What the hell's that thing? Something useful I hope? DET. RANDOLPH [intrigued, to Officer Reese; Panel 6]: I think so...

Panel 1-2: Slight close-up on Ms. Randolph a second later. She looks closer at the object like device as her bow retracts in size toward something that is closer to a portable size. In the next panel, the good Detective opens the top of the device moments later and looks inside. Her suspicion is now fully justified, punctuated by a smile.
DET. RANDOLPH [Cont., Panel 1]: I made sure to slash the area just below it. So it should be in one piece. DET. RANDOLPH [excited, Panel 2]: Ah, I knew it...
Panel 3-4: Cut to an interior shot of the metal scroll a second later, looking in from the Detective's perspective. You can see, amidst the complex array of circuitry, an ingraving on the upper right corner (that is heightened in its own miniature Panel 4) with the words "James Brighton Society" along with an address underneath it. There's also a container shaped like a scroll (albeit in a smaller size) with the words "P.A.L." attached in the center of it.
DET. RANDOLPH [Cont., Off-Panel; Panel 3]: It's the bastard's P.A.L. A small plus for nearly dying today...
Panel 5: We move back to the same setting and layout that we saw in Panel 1, along with the same brown and gray set-up that was in place then. Tasha turns her attention back toward her colleague, pressing the top of the device back into place. You can see her other hand start to move her weapon back into her holster at the same moment she speaks.
DET. RANDOLPH [to Officer Reese]: Now, let's head back to the cruiser and sort through what we got at the station.
