James Brighton Society, Chapter 5: Pages 11-12
Page 11, 5 Panels- Grem's Apartment/Hart Senate Office Building, Washington D.C.
Panel 1: Action shot of the Detective standing up from the couch in the same setting as the second-to-last panel of the previous page. You can see her weapon clipped to her left side as she stands, rolling her eyes at the bravado from the Irishman.
DET. RANDOLPH [to Grem]: And if that doesn't work, I think I should break in to their personnel files. We need to find out how many Senators are JBS members or gave money to the organization in any way. DET. RANDOLPH [Cont., Bubble 2]: Who knows, I might be able to get the address to their HQ in Arlington, since I assume you weren't able to get one in your searchings.
Panel 2: We cut to Grem in the kitchen, looking back at Ms. Randolph as he drops the dishes into the empty sink. There's no loss of confidence or charm in the immortal Irishman's face and tone of voice as he speaks. You can see partially some of the handles and faucets to the sink behind him in the background.
GREM [nods, to Det. Randolph]: You assume correctly, Detective. There should be something in the lab that will satisfy any concerns in that manner. Oh, and try not to piss off the guards when you're in there.
Panel 3: Cut to an interior shot of the lobby to the Hart Senate Office Building minutes later. You can see in the background the outline of the Isle from the outside of the building, and a couple of shadows stepping out of the portable dirigible at that precise moment. As for the foreground, it is elegant and spacious with stacked layers from the floors above them.
GREM [Cont., caption]: As I'll be doing...hopefully to far better success!
Panel 4-5: A two-part set of panels that starts out in the same setting and layout as the previous panel. In Panel 4, we see one of the shadows (Grem) moving up toward the glass entrance doors, placing the now compact Isle back in the bag, while the other shadow (Det. Randolph) shoots up to the sky as a result of some unseen energy source. In Panel 5, we shift to a close-up of Mr. Allen, stepping inside the building moments later dressed in an immaculate looking suit with his trademark clover vest popping into view as he walks in and looks around.

Panel 1: Cut to to an exterior shot of Ms. Randolph moments after landing on the roof of the Office Building. She's moving at a steady pace over toward the fire escape that'll get her inside. You can see the edges of the roof a distance away in the background.
Panel 2-3: A two-part set of panels that moves to an elevated rear shot of the same type of action shot from the previous panel. In Panel 2, the Detective nears the fire escape that is now visible in the center area of both panels. In the next panel, Tasha ducks behind a heating vent at what she believes is the door opening, waiting for the chance at danger to subside before heading inside.
Panel 4: Close-up on Ms. Randolph a few seconds later, waiting for whoever is behind the door to pop out, though none emerges. All you can see in the background is a mix of gray and white from the vent as it operates, providing the only steady sound in the scene.
GREM [Off-Panel caption]: "Good day, miss..."
Panel 5: We move to a shot of Grem standing in front of the reception desk, smiling at the off-panel receptionist. His face exuding every bit of charm and suaveness as he speaks. You can see a little section of the front lobby behind him in the background.
GREM [Cont., to the Receptionist in an American accent]: Where is Senator's Connally's office?
Panel 6: Cut to a shot of the visibly smitten receptionist behind the desk. She's a cute dark haired woman in her 20s wearing a smart looking business dress. She points over to the right of the panel view in the direction of the office, attracted to the lovely man standing in front of her though still every bit as professional as always.
RECEPTIONIST [to Grem]: Fourth floor, third door to the right. GREM [Off-Panel]: Much appreciated...
