Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels that move on a close-up shot of Mr. Allen's face over the course of a few moments, reacting to the sight of Briggs' hitman popping into view in the doorway off-panel. In Panel 1, there's a sense of surprise in his eyes at the sight of the mystery person. Then, in Panel 2, Grem thinks to come up with a defense. But in the next panel, he's frozen before moving an inch by something hitting him. His eyes go in the back of his head and...
Panel 4: He collapses off-panel, while the focus of the panel moves to a prime focus on the Chief of Staff, with a pleased smirk on his face, and the mystery shooter standing next to each other. It's very clear at that point that we see the shooter is none other than the thug we first saw following Grem and Tasha a few issues ago. You can see the mecha lowering his right arm (the palm of which held the gun that fired the shot).
CHARLES BRIGGS [to the Mecha]: The boys at OSS would kill for that kind of weapon!
Panel 5-6: A two-part set of panels that starts on the same setting and layout as the previous panel. It's here in Panel 5 that the Mecha turns and moves away from the scene back toward the door, catching the government man by surprise. We move to a shot of the clockwork at the door, turning back to address him before stepping out.
CHARLES BRIGGS [Cont. confused, Panel 5]: Wait, you're leaving? What about disposing the body? MECHA [Off-Panel, Panel 5]: You do not have the membership level necessary to authorize me to do such an act. That is why my maker installed the trap door here, which should be satisfactory for your disposal needs. MECHA [Cont., Panel 6]: See you on New Year's...

Panel 1-3: A three-part set of panels that starts on the same setting and layout as the second to last panel of the previous page. Charles turns his attention back toward the desk in Panel 1 as the Mecha officially leaves the room. In Panel 2, we see him carrying, with a degree of struggle, the body over to the same position on the floor where the trap door's located. And then, in Panel 3, the government worker presses a button on the desk, sending Grem's unconscious body out of the room.
CHARLES BRIGGS [dismissively, to the Mecha; Panel 1]: Right...gawdamn bucket of bolts! CHARLES BRIGGS [to the body, looking down pitiless; Panel 3]: Sayonara, ya stupid Paddy... DET. RANDOLPH [Off-Panel caption, Panel 3]: What to do, what to do...
Panel 4: Cut to Det. Randolph back up at the top of the roof, in the same place we saw her earlier, a few seconds after what happened in the previous panel. She's visibly impatient about the amount of time she's spent waiting on him, holding a couple of stacks of manila folders in each arm. There's a look in her eyes that the Detective's ready to charge for the door at any moment.
DET. RANDOLPH [to herself, antsy]: The smart plan would be to leave now with what I got and let Grem handle the cops. Use his gringo "charm and badassery Then again, he's the one with the magic bottomless purse. DET. RANDOLPH [Bubble 2]: Fuck it, I'm going back in!
Panel 5-6: Action shot of Ms. Randolph in Panel 5 finally making her move toward the door, dropping the documents at her feet on the ground. At the same moment though, you can hear coming a loud "BANG!" from the ground below. She only reacts to it in Panel 6 just as she's reaching for her weapon. Her head turned to the right of the panel view where the noise originated from.
DET. RANDOLPH [Cont., Panel 5]: Still have a little something inside for the-- DET. RANDOLPH [thought bubble, Panel 6]: What the hell now...?
