James Brighton Society, Chapter 6: Pages 7-8

Page 7, 5 Panels- Capt. Lennox's Office, D.C. Metro Police Precinct Office, Washington D.C.

Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that focuses on the same doorway leading to the Captain's office. You can even see his name emblazoned on the glass of the window (reversed in the panel view given the location of the scene). In Panel 1, Detective Randolph appears in the doorway with a degree of curiosity in her eyes. A couple of seconds later, in Panel 2, she looks in front of her, guided by the sound of a voice in front of her.

DET. RANDOLPH [to Capt. Lennox, Panel 1]: You wanted to see me, Cap--? CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel, forcefully to Det. Randolph; Panel 2]: Sit down, Tasha.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of the Captain, stern faced and serious, seated behind his desk. Flanked on both sides of the desk are two separate officers from the Capitol Police department. The one on the left is human, and the other on the right is a Mecha (one of the intelligence gather IM Patrollers).

CAPT. LENNOX [Cont.]: I wanted to talk to you about something that's been brought to my attention.

Panel 4: Action shot of Tasha a moment later, approaching the back of one of the two chairs (the left one to be exact) as she speaks. There's a look of steadily growing apprehension and fear in her eyes, knowing the purpose (or at least having a decent idea) behind the true meaning of the meeting. Which she tries to hide by the calm demeanor in her body language. You can see a section of the office behind her in the background, including part of the closed front door in the distance.

DET. RANDOLPH [trying to make a joke]: The Chief finally find it in his politically inspired wisdom to give a promotion, sir? CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel, chuckling]: If it were only that simple...

Panel 5: Back to the Captain in a more closer-up view that we saw in Panel 3, taking out most of the view of the other Capitol PD officers save for their arms which appear on both corners of the panel view. He speaks with great seriousness in his voice that has been a steady consistency through the course of the page.

CAPT. LENNOX [Cont.]: Where were you yesterday?

Page 8, 6 Panels- Capt. Lennox's Office, D.C. Metro Police Precinct Office, Washington D.C.

Panel 1: Cut to Ms. Randolph seated at the chair in a similar setting as the second-to-last panel of the previous page. The layout zooms in on her and the chair specifically, with part of the background from that aforementioned panel behind her. She has a purely matter-of-fact look on her face, answering the question truthfully.

DET. RANDOLPH [to Capt. Lennox]: Just what you told me to, Cap'n. I was in that "Mecha neighborhood" the Twins talked about, scoping that lead-- CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel]: Really, Detective?

Panel 2-3: A two-part set of panels that moves back to a shot similar in scope to what we saw at the top of the previous page. In Panel 2, the CW officer reaches over and hands the Captain an envelope which he receives (casually glancing at him from his periphery). A few beats later, in Panel 3, he slides the folder on the desk in Tasha's direction.

CAPT. LENNOX [Cont. to Det. Randolph, Panel 2]: Because this gentleman and this IMP have brought some evidence to my attention that paints a much... CAPT. LENNOX [Cont., Panel 3]: different story.

Panel 4-5: We move to a two-panel wide shot, tilted down from the Detective's perspective as she sees the photographs (6 in all) that were contained in the now opened folder. Each one of a part of the HR room where Tasha had gone on her rampage in Chapter 5, detailing the amount of damage and knocked out Capitol officers she had incurred as well as the overturned drawers of file cabinets lying on the floor.

CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel caption, Panel 4]: A dozen Capitol officers injured and in the hospital. CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel caption 2, Panel 4]: Two RADs intentionally malfunctioned by force courtesy of repeated stabbings to the cranial area by a, to quote the surviving robot, "spear looking weapon." CAPT. LENNOX [Off-Panel caption, Panel 5]: So again, before things get unpleasant for you Detective...

Panel 6: Cut to a close-up of the good Captain, particularly of his face, a second later. You can see the rage slowly building in his eyes as he speaks, contained by a steady demeanor and the outward display of professionalism that comes with the job. You can see a swirl of gray from the wallpaper in the background.

CAPT. LENNOX [forcefully]: Where were you yesterday?
