James Brighton Society, Chapter 7: Pages 7-8
Page 7, 6 Panels- Azeban's Office/Emerald Isle, Theodore Roosevelt Island, Washington D.C.
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of our two heroes in the same setting and layout that we saw in Panel 3 of the previous page. Each of them is holding a magically appeared outfit tailor-made to their particular body types. Grem is pleased by his crisp navy blue suit and white buttoned up shirt, looking it over carefully. Tasha, meanwhile, is irked by the presence of red heels that lie on top of the elegant silver colored dress.
GREM [to the suit]: Oh, you beauty...[to Azeban] This genuine Habutai? AZEBAN [Off-Panel]: You know it is. GREM [chuckles, Bubble 2]: Beautiful work as always, Azzie!
Panel 2: We move to a close-up on Ms. Randolph a few seconds later. She's holding the pair of matching gray heels that were seen in passing in the previous panel. There's the same look of irksomeness that was on her face then as well, raised to a slightly higher level at that moment. You can see a little section of the wall behind her in the background.
TASHA [to Azeban]: Tell me I'm not gonna have to squeeze my feet into these ugly looking hijos de puta. AZEBAN [Off-Panel, to Azeban]: I know high heels are the most evil shoes created by you humans...
Panel 3-4: Cut to the trickster goddess in an explanatory fashion to the taller human. The setting and layout behind her is similar to what we saw at the end of the previous page. As she speaks, you can see her tossing the closed book over her shoulder and high into the air. In the next panel, moments later, it lands with an effortless "WHOOMPF!" Her eyes looking over in the direction of the heroes, grinning proudly.
AZEBAN [Cont., Panel 3]: That is why I've left something in its design that should improve your comfort level when the night comes, not to mention some other sharp features in case things go south. TASHA [Off-Panel, Panel 3]: Like what? AZEBAN [Panel 4]: Three words- magnetic switch blades. AZEBAN [encouragingly; Panel 4, Bubble 2]: Best of luck! TASHA [caption, Panel 4]: So, in all those years dealing with the James Brighton Society...
Panel 5: We move to a shot of the front of the Emerald Isle a minute later as the two of them fly away from the floating cabin. Grem looks over from the driver's seat to Tasha who is seated next to him in the passenger seat. Their respective outfits for the New Year's ball are laid out on the backseat, safely protected from the wind that hits our two human protagonists.
TASHA [Cont. curious, to Grem]: You ever been into one of their soirees or...whatever white people call parties? GREM [pondering as he thinks, to Tasha]: Aye, a handful of times many moons back. TASHA [Bubble 2]: How'd you get in, given that we aren't members or were invited? GREM [Bubble 2]: There were two options that usually did the trick.
Panel 6: We shift to a close-up on the immortal Irishman's face a moment later. The setting and layout resembling what we saw on his half of the ship back in the previous panel. His gaze shifts back to the empty sky in front of them, turning the wheel (that is seen on the bottom of the panel view) in order to avoid an impediment that is off-panel at this point.
GREM [Cont.]: The first one- donating a million pounds (or dollars in this case) of gold bouillon to the Society. And the second- to be related to one of the members of the Hierarchy.

Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that moves back to a shot of Ms. Randolph taken from the side, responding to the message. It starts in Panel 1 with her taking in the weight of the message, particularly the second part of it. Then, in the next panel, we see the former Detective shift on to another realm of thought.
TASHA [to Grem, Panel 1]: Since I'm guessing you're not flush with gold... GREM [Off-Panel, Panel 1]: TASHA [Panel 2]: That leaves us with this Hierarchy...which has what to do with the James Brighton Society.
Panel 3: Cut to a side shot of Grem at the driver's seat, giving a slight nod to the statement in the previous panel. You can see a collection of buildings in the skyline that pass the Isle by, along with some PTDs as well as personal skycruisers, as he speaks.
GREM [to Tasha]: It's the tippy top of the JBS pecking order, just above the Grand Vizier. It's connected to the familial bloodline of Jimmy Brighton himself, which they claim stretches back to when gods freely walked the Earth.
Panel 4: Back to Tasha in a similar setting and layout as we saw in the top of the page. She looks on with a touch of disbelief at what he said, holding back a smile and a chuckle as she speaks. There's also a touch of playfulness that comes on display in Ms. Randolph's remark.
TASHA: "Claim..." You sound pretty skeptical for someone who has trickster gods and goblin sorceresses in his Rolodex!
Panel 5: We shift back to the immortal Irishman in the same setting and layout that we saw in Panel 3. He gives a mild chuckle to the statement, acknowledging it while also knowing the deeper level behind the thought that Grem's about ready to deliver at that moment.
GREM [explanatory]: Natasha...there's a big difference between learned experience and lying out of your ass.
