Panel 1: Montage Through Time shot number 1, showing the two of them hanging out at a cast party for The Producers. You can see a smattering of the other cast members standing around them, one of which who played Franz Liebkind still with the character’s five o’clock shadow on their face.

Page 12, 6 Panels- Break Room/Hallway, Best Buy, Present Day Las Vegas
Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that moves back to adult Melanie, dressed in the standard blue vest and trousers that is the uniform of a Best Buy employee, seated on the couch and watching TV; her eyes red with the trickle of tears. You can see a Jack-in-the-Box bag on the coffee table in front of her, along with an assembly of boxes from the fast food establishment next to and around it. In Panel 1, in the background over Ms. Haynes’ right shoulder, you can see her co-worker friend Jayson throwing a crumpled up piece of paper in her direction. It knocks her in the back of the head in Panel 2, rousing her from the melancholic stare she had had for a time before the scene.
JAYSON [to Melanie, Panel 1]: Earth to Mel! MELANIE [surprised, Panel 2]: HEY!
Panel 3: We move to a close-up on Jayson in the little square table area that he was at in the previous panel. He has auburn and pink hair, green eyes, and a round egg shaped face that fits his equally chunky physique. He uses his left thumb to point over to the left of the panel view, reminding her about something.
JAYSON [to Melanie]: You told me to remind you when the hour was up.
Panel 4: Cut back to Melanie who has turned around to face him; her arms are drooping over the side of the couch as she speaks. You can see the small looking TV in the background that’s playing an old episode of Futurama.
MELANIE [shakes her head, remembering]: Right, right…sorry.
Panel 5: Action shot that follows the two of them walking out of the room a minute later- Melanie to the right of the view, and Jayson to the left. You can see the walls on both sides of the panel view, along with a bulletin board that lists the work schedules for everyone on staff on Jayson’s side.
JAYSON [caring, with his hands in his pockets]: We've known each other since college. I was gonna be yours Bridesmaid for crying out loud. I miss Henry as much as you do, I hope you know that. MELANIE [nods]: I know… JAYSON [Bubble 2]: I know you’re not a fan of what I'm gonna ask, but— MELANIE [interjecting forcefully, Bubble 2]: I’m fine!
Panel 6: Cut to a close-up on the young woman a second later where she wipes away the remnant of tears from earlier. There’s a sigh that drifts off to the left in the form of a visible bubble in front of her as she speaks. In the background behind her is the same type of bland light blue coloring that was visible throughout the page.
MELANIE [Cont.]: Just…the crappiness of the day. Four years since he died, and it--it still screws with my head… JAYSON [Off-Panel]: Figured as much!
