James Brighton Society, Chapter 10: Pages 15-16

Page 15, 6 Panels- Magog Ceremony, Undisclosed Location

Panel 1: Cut to a quarter-page sized interior shot of the ceremony as this all takes place. A procession of three priests in their fineries can be seen over a large red pool. They're chanting the rest of a spell in Latin in the direction of the cauldron that is as wide as the panel itself, which is pumping out a great deal of energy toward the blown out roof.

Panel 2-3: We move to a part of the wall nearby this scene where, suddenly, a big boom takes out a section of the wall. In Panel 3, you can see the front section of the car parked through the walkway. Tasha is standing in the right of the area, holding her weapon and getting ready to charge toward them.

TASHA [to the Priests, Panel 3]: Hola, esestúpidos hijos de pu--

Panel 4-6: A three-part set of panels that moves to a close-up on Ms. Randolph reacting with "WHOA!" (Panel 4) and "OH, WHA--!" (Panel 5) at a series of off-panel explosions that populate the first two panels. By the time we reach Panel 6, the explosions subside, chipping away at the action hero facade and leaving our heroine to try and figure out what just happened.

TASHA [Panel 6]: That's gonna haunt me!

Page 16, 5 Panels- Ceremony, Undisclosed Location

Panel 1: We move to the same setting and layout as the first panel of the previous page. Where we saw priests then, now we see just a pile of empty robes strewn in a pile. You can see a hand emerging from the red pool, gripping the side of the pool as if seeking to break through to the air. The only sounds we hear is the sound of footsteps coming from the left of the panel view.

Panel 2-4: A three-part set of panels that focuses on Tasha taking a few steps forward before stopping in Panel 4. You can see, with each successive panel, the view move higher and higher up toward an elevated near bird's eye view on our heroine as she watches with gape eyed astonishment at the creature.

TASHA [to the Magog, Panel 4]: Hello, creepy Spectre of Death...I'm the one who's gonna take you down!

Panel 5: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout returns to normal ground level as the former Detective fiddles around with the black dial in the middle of her weapon in search of some helpful setting. You can hear off-panel right, as this goes on, the sound of the Magog's massive footsteps as it moves away to sights unknown at this moment.

TASHA [talking to the weapon]: Okay, you little Divine Boom maker...
