James Brighton Society, Chapter 10: Pages 19-20
Page 19, 5 Panels- Body of Magog, Edge of Alexandria Virginia
Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. A few seconds later, there's an explosion emanating from inside the Magog's hand, causing the monster to lift off of in pain. You can see Tasha's arm pull back at the same time this is happening, keeping hold of the Divine Boom as it moves up as high as she can stretch.
Panel 2: Cut to a bird's eye view shot of our heroine a second later, grabbing another part of back muscle while still holding on to the weapon. Her eyes look up toward the back of the Magog's head with steely-eyed determination. You can see the concrete of the street below behind her in the background, illuminated by the lights, along with the sounds of innocent locals screaming in terror off-panel, as was the case in the previous page.
Panel 3-5: A three-part set of panels that follows Ms. Randolph as she continues the climb once more toward the upper shoulder area. It seems normal until we reach Panel 4 when the creature's back starts to split apart like a cell undergoing mitosis. In the next panel, it gets to a level that she starts to get wobbly in terms of her grip on the creature.
TASHA [grimaces, Panel 3]: Yay...n--not broken! TASHA [Cont., Panel 4]: Now, back to business. If I can get up to the neck or head, maybe I can stun him before he goes too... TASHA [surprised, Panel 5]: Whooa, God!
Page 20, 6 Panels- Middle of Alexandria Virginia Panel 1: Cut to a rear shot of the creature moments later, split into two separate (and equally tall) entities. One of which is standing in the same area that they were before, while the other stands a couple of steps to its left. You can see Tasha in the form of a speck, sliding down the middle of the left-Magog’s back.
Panel 2: We move to a close-up on Ms. Randolph a few moments later, clinging on to a little pocket of fat somewhere on the creature’s back. Her right hand still keeping a good hold on her weapon just before it could slide from her grasp. You can hear off-panel the sound of another pair of footsteps moving away from the scene, along with the clone Magog. Panel 3-5: A three-part set of panels with the same setting and layout as the previous panel. In Panels 3 and 4, we see her quickly scale the creature with an added jolt of adrenaline. Then moments later, in Panel 5, Tasha swings her weapon, squeezing the base of it (which triggers whatever blasts to begin with) as she speaks. TASHA [to herself, Panel 3]: Time to say good night, creepo… TASHA [to the clone-Magog, Panel 5]: Viva Guatemala! Panel 6: Cut to an impact shot of the Divine Boom connecting squarely on the creature’s back a second later. The powerful bolts of lightning surging in all directions, eliciting a pained powerful cry from the creature. You can see her hand and arm in the shot as well, and hear the sounds of the other Magog moving on at the same thumping pace.
