Jones St., Chapter 4: Pages 13-14
Page 13, 5 Panels- Melanie's Apartment, Las Vegas NV
Panel 1-2: We move back to Melanie a few minutes later in the same setting and layout as Panel 3 of the previous page. She continues typing on her laptop the series of code that she had been doing earlier, ignoring the sound of singing coming from the bathroom. In Panel 2, Melanie stops typing and tilts her head to the right in the direction of her friend.
MELANIE [with a smirk, to Cassie; Panel 2]: Your birthday's coming up in a few weeks. Anything special you wanna do? CASSIE [Off-Panel, yelling]: Nah, same stuff we did last year'd be cool with me. MELANIE [Bubble 2]: Chili nachos, cervezas, and Idris Elba? CASSIE [Bubble 2]: Hell YES!
Panel 3: Cut to a shot of the hallway which lies the bathroom a few beats later. There's a few framed photographs on the walls, including a pair of shots of Gina Torres and Deborah Harry side-by-side. You can see a little trickle of steam emanating from the bottom of the door as she speaks.
CASSIE [add-on through the bathroom door, to Melanie]: Oh, last night, I came up with a great idea for a VR program- "Beefcakes." Just buff men (or women) serving up chocolate cake before pleasuring us.
Panel 4: Back to Melanie in the same setting and layout as the page's first two panels. She's stopped typing and lets out a mighty laugh in regards to the request; as if it were some type of inside joke between the two of them.
MELANIE: That is...genius! Why the hell is not a thing already?!
Panel 5: Same setting/layout as Panel 3, along with the same background design that we saw then. The steam that comes from the bottom of the door is gathering in a little larger frequency than we saw in that particular panel.
CASSIE [yelling through the bathroom door]: I know, right?! If a sentient orange tub of fat can become President, the women of the world deserve the chance to eat meatloaf while getting eaten out.

Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Melanie at her computer, continuing back on her coding trail. In Panel 1, everything is relatively static with the music playing off in the background. Then in Panel 2, Melanie stops upon the discovery of a pair of loud thumps coming from off-panel right which stop her momentarily.
Panel 3: Action shot of Ms. Haynes walking across the edge of the small kitchen, past the equally smaller living room whose couch is visible in the bottom of the panel view. At this moment, the singing has stopped from the bathroom area; though Melanie hasn't noticed this yet.
Panel 4-5: Cut to a side close-up of the young woman's head poking through the doorway moments later in Panel 4. She looks around to both sides of the hallway in Panel 5, which is only partially visible in the background along with the sound of footsteps just fading out of view. She has a look of puzzlement on her face in this panel too.
MELANIE [thought bubble, Panel 5]: Delivery guy left...a little weird!
Panel 6: We move to a similar type of close-up to the previous panel, though now it's centered on her face specifically. She looks down and notices the book lying off-panel on the ground in front of her; the look of confusion now completely gone from her face upon discovering the answer to her question.
MELANIE [to herself]: Whatever...
