Jones St., Chapter 4: Pages 19-20
Page 19, 6 Panels- EPB Bookstore, Jones St., Las Vegas NV
Panel 1-2: A two-part set of panels that both focus on Tara in the past, signified by the changes in shirts he wore which are visible through the vest he wears. In Panel 1, he's wearing a Flash T-shirt; the action of the scene frozen in time at that point with the caption taking up the bulk of dialogue action. In Panel 2, the setting picks up with him looking over at a string of people coming toward the front counter at that moment in time. You can see, to his left, a small mental image of Tara dancing (not very well) in a nebulous black circle.
TARA [narration caption, Panel 1]: Sometimes, if it's early in the day, I picture myself dancing (albeit pretty badly) to keep myself centered in the moment. It also helps to keep any boredom I might have at bay as I go through the motions with whoever's there. TARA [narration caption, Panel 2]: At least till it starts to get progressively busier. Then, the stress and the anxiety start to rear its head again which then get me to Plan B-.
Panel 3-4: A two-part set of panels that both focus on Tara in the past as was the case before. In Panel 3, wearing a rainbow leaf T-shirt underneath his vest, the action is frozen in time with the caption dominating the action to the upper left corner. It picks back up in Panel 4 in the same setting and layout established in Panel 3, tending to a customer with their purchase.
TARA [narration caption, Panel 3]: The tried and true clicks of the zip drive which also help keep me in one piece, albeit for a little while longer than the mental dancing. SOUND EFFECT [Off-Panel, Panel 4]: CLICK! CLICK! CLICK... TARA [to the customer, Panel 4]: That'll be $16.09, please.
Panel 5-6: A two-part set of panels that follows roughly the same template that follows the page's other panels. In Panel 5, the setting shifts to the part of EPB Bookstore where we see the back of Tara, wearing a pair of earbuds listening to music, sorting books into the New Releases section. As the action kicks back up in Panel 6 with him shaking his booty slightly to the reader, you can see part of the front windows showing the street in early evening in the background.
TARA [narration caption, Panel 5]: When I'm feeling particularly low energy at work, and nothing's worked well to get me back up to snuff, then I go to the sweet magic that is Pandora. Musicals, Tom Waits, Public Enemy... TARA [narration caption, Panel 6]: Basically anything that can get me right to closing time.

Panel 1: Same setting as the last panel of the previous page. The layout changes slightly to take in the new action of Mr. Myers taking the now empty box of books back to the area of the store where he had gotten them from. In the background, you can see parts of nearby shelves of books that are visible in the area.
TARA [narration caption]: All of that though works at the very best when it comes to work. In terms of afterwards, outside of the zip drive, they can't match the calm and efficacy for my frazzled brain that comes with…
Panel 2: Cut to a similar shot of Tara in his bedroom later that day, walking around in front of his bed. Instead of the box, he’s carrying his laptop around; his left hand acting as a base on the bottom of the device. He looks on at the screen, which shows part of one of the pages. You can also see the name “The A&E” at the top of the document, albeit more faintly than the paragraphs.
TARA [Cont. narration caption]: Writing!
Panel 3: We move to a shot of the same bookshelves that we saw in Chapter 2, this time in its full glory. The Bradbury books exist in the top shelf along with other sci-fi favorites of his, with other books from various sections occupying the middle of it, and the comics just below it alongside a collection of notebooks on the far right end of it. You can see Tara bending down toward this bottom shelf, placing the computer next to him as he goes. In the background to the left of the panel view, you can see part of a large calendar with a varied amount of lists on it.
Panel 4-5: A two-part set of panels taken from the perspective of that shelf a few beats later. In Panel 4, we see Tara quickly scanning from right to left, muttering incoherently to himself as he goes. Then in Panel 5, he stops upon seeing the notebook in question to the (his far right) of the area. You can see the bed and the Daredevil and H.G. Wells posters off in the background, as well as the top of his laptop front stage in the bottom right of the panel view.
TARA [“aha!” moment, Panel 5]: There it is!
