Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 1: Pages 3-4
PAGE 3
PANEL 1-2: Action shot of Mr. de Connick moments later, slipping in to the just forming line to enter the airplane. It's in this first panel we see his messenger bag looped over his shoulder. In Panel 2, as the line's made a slight movement toward the entrance, his phone starts to ring from inside the bag.
PANEL 3: Slight close-up on Adam's face after he picks up the phone, pressing it up to his right ear. You can see the glow of the touch screen in the background, along with a few letters of who's calling as well as the right half of the numerical keypad on the phone.
ADAM [into the phone]: Reggie! I don't really have much time to talk. I'm just heading on the plane back home. REGGIE [from the receiver]: Good, this won't take long.
INT. REGGIE'S OFFICE, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE- Morning
PANEL 4: Cut to a shot of Regina "Reggie" Pullman, the Arts editor at the Chronicle, in her office. She paces around in front of her desk; the cell phone pressed casually against her right ear. In the background, over her right shoulder, you can see a poster for the original 1969 film version of "The Producers."
REGGIE [Cont.]: I got an interview I want you to do once you get back to the States. REGGIE [Bubble 2 reacting to Panel 5, Bubble 1]: A local filmmaker who made a big splash at Sundance last year. His follow-up got picked up by Fox Searchlight for a big Oscar push...

PANEL 5: Back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 3. He sighs in audible frustration at the context; the background behind him changes slightly as the young man moves from left to right again, coinciding with the glacial pace of the line.
ADAM [annoyed]: 'Kay. Who's the interview with? ADAM [interjecting Bubble 2, reacting to Panel 4, Bubble 2]: Normally, I'd be happy to do it. But I've got vacation time coming up, boss...particularly tickets for Golden Gate this weekend. I can't stack on a story about another so-so filmmaker looking to break into the A-List, especially when that Sundance film was barely above meh.

INT. REGGIE'S OFFICE, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
PANEL 1: Back to Reggie at her office, leaning against the edge of her desk as she speaks. She sighs, absorbing the frustration from her underling for the moment before giving her response. At the same time, her free left hand is seen touching the desktop in search of something.
REGGIE [into the phone, to Adam]: I know it's not ideal. But I got other people working on comic book movie PR and #MeToo response, and you're the short strawed schmuck here. Besides, if you don't do it, I have to kick it to someone in the Local section and---
PANEL 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. At the same moment that she grabs a piece of paper in the middle of the desk behind her, she grimaces sickeningly over the person she's referring to; her face showing off the normal wrinkles of a woman in her early 40s.
REGGIE [Cont.]: I really don't wanna give that sexist creep Leon any more satisfaction than he gets from looking in a mirror!

PANEL 3-4: A two-part set of panels that centers back to Adam in the airport in Tokyo, moving through to the front of the line that he is close to reaching at this point. In Panel 3, he quietly thinks to himself as the line moves with a greater speed than before. In the next panel, it slows down to a stop just in time for the young man to speak.
ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 3]: I hate it, but I don't wanna screw her over like that. If I do it while I change into my Saturday outfit...maybe I can make it work. ADAM [into the phone accepting, to Reggie; Panel 4]: Alright, I'll do it. But I want a chance at the Film Critic job opening that just became available.
INT. REGGIE'S OFFICE, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
PANEL 5: Back to Reggie in her office deep in thought; the setting and layout similar to what we saw in Panel 2. She lifts off the edge of the desk, reading the sheet of paper that she picked up in that aforementioned panel a split second after the action of Panel 4.
REGGIE [thought bubble]: He puts together decent work. I'll throw him a bone...might surprise me!
PANEL 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few seconds later, we see her take a couple of steps forward away from the desk to the middle of the room as she speaks. You can see the glow of the sun coming from the window behind the desk, illuminating her and the little section of the room that is visible in the panel.
REGGIE [nods]: Alright, you got a deal. See you in about teh-- SOUND EFFECT [drowning out her dialogue]: SKREEETTZZZ!
