Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 1: Pages 15-16

PAGE 15

PANEL 1-3: A three-part set of panels that center on the computer screen that the hotel worker is looking at during the end of the previous page, taking place over the course of seconds. In Panel 1, we see the young time traveling woman featured earlier approaching Adam's door; the folded note partially visible in her left hand. Just as she's about to place it, in Panel 2, a white energy blinds the entire screen followed shortly in the next panel by her disappearance.

ADAM [Off-Panel, from the receiver; Panel 2]: Hello, are you still here? FRONT DESK AGENT [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: I, um...Yes I'm here, Mr. de Connick. Just froze a little. ADAM [Off-Panel, from the receiver; Panel 3]: What happened? Did you see something in the footage?

PANEL 4: Back to the Agent once morein the same setting and layout as the last panel of Page 14. For the first time, she looks up from the screen, scraping together the necessary words to explain what had just happened.

FRONT DESK AGENT: Yes, sir. But the problem is...I'm not sure that I can explain it.

INT. ADAM'S ROOM

PANEL 5: Cut to a shot of Adam sitting on the bed in his room holding the phone, and watching TV. There's a look of overt confusion on his face that has been fueled by the aforementioned period of silence.

ADAM [looking for clarification, to Front Desk Agent]: Okay...is there anyone else that I can call to help out? Maybe the police? FRONT DESK AGENT [from the receiver]: You are more than welcome to try, Mr. de Connick. But I have a suspicion that it won't be anymore successful than this. ADAM [thought bubble]: ...Blarg!

PANEL 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The confusion that was evident on the young man's face before has changed to a sense of accepting dejection at the answer he got in Panel 5. You can see his free left hand reaching down out of view of the panel to reach for something as he speaks.

FRONT DESK AGENT [Cont., from the receiver]: Is there anything else we can help you with today? ADAM [shakes his head]: No, um...thanks.

PAGE 16

PANEL 1: Action shot in the same setting as the last panel of the previous page; the phone hung up on its base on the end table to his right. The layout widens a bit more to show Adam turning on the TV to take his mind off of the weirdness. You can see a closed Macbook laptop computer laying at the base of the bed to the left.

PANEL 2: Slight close-up on Mr. de Connick a minute later; the pale navy blue of the wallpaper behind him in the background. He has his gaze back down to the note in his hands, which he takes another look at as the TV goes on with indiscriminate footage off-panel.

INT. FLIGHT 2422, SOMEWHERE OVER EASTERN BELGIUM- Hours Later

PANEL 3: Same angle of the layout and position of the young man's body that we saw in Panel 2, though with a change in scenery that takes us back to the plane and his seat on it. In his hands, the note has changed to his iPad and the glow of the film he happens to be watching at that moment. You can see the earbuds snuggly in his earbuds at the same moment.

PANEL 4-5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. With his left hand still holding the tablet, he uses his right hand to take the Dr. Pepper bottle to his lips and swig as the movie plays on. In Panel 5, as he lowers the bottle back on the plastic table, the peace is disrupted by a bout of turbulence that rumbles through the whole plane.
