PAGE 7

PANEL 1-3: A three-part set of panels that focuses on the stage, showing Amanda in the center on the microphone and Richard to her left with an acoustic guitar (also in front of a microphone). In each one, we see the two of them do their best to mimic the movements of the actors from the movie as they sing.

AMANDA [lower register; Panel 3, Bubble 2]: I have to push the pram a lot.

PANEL 4: Cut to a shot of Adam sitting, watching the performance as it moves into the instrumental heavy ending; a large laugh seemingly bubbling up in the base of his throat. You can see, from the people in the background, the same reaction in some with others torn between laughing and happy crying.

ADAM [thought bubble]: Too...good...for words! AMANDA [Off-Panel]: Pause...

PANEL 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few seconds later, the background behind Mr. de Connick has frozen as a result of his sister's earlier command. He shifts his focus to the right, watching her stand up off-panel as he speaks.

AMANDA [Cont., Off-Panel]: End program! ADAM [to Amanda]: That was surprisingly...on-key. How did you learn to sing in Spanish that well?

INT. AMANDA'S LIVING ROOM- Night (Panel 2)

PANEL 1-2: Cut to Amanda at the other end of the couch a few moments later, moving from a crouch into a full standing position again after deactivating the CAT; the background around them has already started to shift from the wedding to black, back to the living room which returns to view in Panel 2. It's here in Panel 2 that you can also see the glow of the off-panel home screen.

AMANDA [to Adam, Panel 1]: Took a few weeks of rehearsing with Grandma Lita, me and other Dad. Thanks to a few years of high school choir though...it was like riding a bike again. ADAM [Off-Panel, to Amanda; Panel 1]: Speaking of my parents, are any of them still alive?

AMANDA [Panel 1, Bubble 2]: Mom's okay, moved to Sacramento mainly 'cause she couldn't afford rent here on her Social Security check. The Dads and Grandma Lita though...sorry to say, they died within a few years of each other. Just before this...freaky whatever happened to you.

AMANDA [Cont., Panel 2]: They died peacefully and with the knowledge you loved them...in case you were wondering. ADAM [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: It helps...kinda. AMANDA [Panel 2, Bubble 2]: If you're, I can take you over to your grave site and the orange tree we placed in it.

PANEL 3: Back to Adam in the chair, glancing over at Amanda with a noticeably shocked look on his face at the announcement; a half grin comes over the left half of his face as he speaks. You can see a section of wall and some framed photos hung in the background.

ADAM [trying to understand, to Amanda]: Orange tree? You mean like those natural burials that were just becoming popular back when we--when we were still young at the same time?

PANEL 4: Back to Amanda in the same setting and layout as Panel 2. She nods at the question with an equally warm smile on her face; her gaze looking over to the right in the direction of the off-panel home screen from the top of the page. You can see in the background what appears to be some type of holographic rectangle descending from the ceiling as she speaks.

AMANDA: Basically, yeah. We didn't have a body, so...we figured an orange tree was as good a choice as any. ADAM [interjecting, Off-Panel]: Not to mention oranges being my favorite fruit ever. AMANDA [Bubble 2]: Exactly! There was also the option of having your social media feed in a little display on the side, but since you rarely if ever posted on Facebook or Twitter I figured it wasn't that great an i--

PANEL 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The rectangle from the aforementioned panel has finished dropping, and is perched just above head level in the background; a single message on it reading "Reminder- Take your Vitamins."

SOUND EFFECT [top panel left]: BEEP! BEEP-DING! LEXY [Off-Panel, to Amanda]: It's 9 P.M., Ms. de Connick-Walsh. Time to take your vitamins.

PANEL 6: Cut to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 3. He watches his sister walk past him toward the kitchen with a high degree of curiosity on the subject that suddenly popped back in his head at that moment.

ADAM: I can wait on seeing my "grave." I've been meaning to ask that- where did the "de Connick-Walsh" thing come from?
