Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 3: Pages 13-14
PAGE 13
PANEL 1-2: A two-part set of panels that centers on the same setting and layout as the last panel of the previous page. In Panel 1, we hear a button clicking sound drifting up from the part of the table where Amanda's hand. Then, in Panel 2 moments later, an energy shield pops up over the entire table, blacking out all noise that had been on display before.
ADAM [happy shocked, looking around at the scene; Panel 2]: OOHOHHH--the NOISELESS BUBBLE! Someone finally made it! AMANDA [nods, Panel 2]: Mmm-hmm... ADAM [Panel 2, Bubble 2]: I spent most of Middle and High School dreaming of something like this.
PANEL 3: Slight close-up on the young Mr. de Connick a few seconds later; the joy, although visible, tempered ever so slightly compared to what we saw in the previous panel. In the background, you can see a bit of cushion and the smooth flat outline of the booth seat behind him.
ADAM [curious, to Amanda]: So, this is an autism friendly restaurant? It's finally a popular thing?
PANEL 4: Cut to Amanda on the other side of the table, shrugging in a kind of "yes/no" fashion in regards to her brother's pair of questions. You can see the same type of background of the chair cushion and its overall architectural design that we saw in the previous panel.
AMANDA [clarifying, to Adam]: In liberal places in ground, it's popular. Outside of them it's pretty much hurled into a deep dark pit and rarely mentioned along with reproductive policy and the idea of equality in income.
PANEL 5: Back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 3. He nods in total understanding with a touch of partial sadness to what she had just said; the figurine resting on top of the table, along with his hand, next to the menu.
ADAM: Ah...right! ADAM [Bubble 2]: So, what do we do to get the waiter or waitress when we're ready to order?

PANEL 1: We move back to Amanda at the other side of the table with the same setting and layout as Panel 4 of the previous page. She reaches over calmly underneath the table, just as had been the case earlier on in the previous page,
AMANDA [to Adam]: There's a signal system built into the base of the table. It's kinda low-tech compared to everything else you've seen, either now or back then even.
PANEL 2-3: We move to the same setting and layout as the first two panels of the previous page. In Panel 3, a few moments later, an image of the green flag appears from the top of the force field, along with a steady "DING!" that comes and goes in three-second intervals (which appears verbally in the top of the panel view).
ADAM [looking up at the flag, pleased; Panel 3]: Huh...still pretty cool!
PANEL 4: Cut to a slight close-up on Mr. de Connick a second later, turning his attention back to his sister with a different line of questioning. Behind him, in the background, you can see the same layout that we saw at the end of the previous page.
ADAM [Cont. to Amanda, curious]: Have you been here before?
PANEL 5: Back to Amanda in the same setting and layout as Panel 1. She shakes her head quickly at the question, though with a touch of knowing memory that is visible on her face as she speaks. You can see the menu pop up partially in view in the bottom left corner of the panel view.
AMANDA: Not for a long, long time. Back when I was still married, and Erin was in middle school. I really hope they still serve Albondigas- they were amazing!
PANEL 6: Back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 4. He leans his head forward slightly at the statement; his menu also partially visible in the bottom right corner of the panel view, though not opened up compared to his sister.
ADAM [intrigued, and partly surprised]: She was on the spectrum too? AMANDA [Off-Panel]: Yep she is. Got diagnosed at 7- wanted to spare her the anxiety drama of going through the Diagnostic in middle school.
