EXT. SAN FRANCISCO BOTANICAL GARDENS- Next Morning

PANEL 1: Cut to a shot of Adam the next morning walking through the Gardens in the bright sunshine. You can see little patches of clouds in the sky along with an assortment of other visitors and tourists in the background as well as the sight of a couple of hovering Hermes cars off in the distance.

AMANDA [Off-Panel caption]: We looked around for another storage place, but none of them were onboard (understandably) with storing someone's stuff long term. Not without paying an arm and a leg. Luckily, Momma Jan had a friend who was the manager for the Botanical Gardens bookstore. She agreed to take your stuff and keep it hidden till we needed to grab it again.

ADAM [Off-Panel caption 2]: Like a time capsule? AMANDA [Off-Panel caption 3]: Essentially, yeah...

PANEL 2: Slight close-up on the young man's face, stopping at his shoulders; the setting and layout is similar to what we saw in the previous panel. Here, he's stopped moving and is carefully checking out the area for the spot Amanda mentioned.

ADAM [Off-Panel caption]: Okay. So, what do I do? Just go to the Gardens and look for some bump in the ground, or... AMANDA [Off-Panel caption 2]: Not unless you want to see the inside of a "futuristic" jail cell. I'll call Brit up, she'll meet you at the Bookstore to lead you to the hiding place.

PANEL 3: We cut to a shot, from Adam's perspective a few seconds after the end of Panel 2, showing a sidewalk leading to the Gardens' slightly larger (compared to its modern day equivalent) bookstore along with a stream of people coming in and out. You can see, to the left of the panel view, part of one of the flower-y displays that the sidewalk happens to be guiding away from.

AMANDA [Cont., Off-Panel caption]: Oh, and watch out for Little Bee- the bugger can be a big stickler for enforcing boundaries.

PANEL 4: Side shot of Mr. de Connick moving across the sidewalk at a steady pace; a little section of the blue sky and the green of the gardens behind him in the background. Around his aura though, you can see a kaleidoscopic collection of colors spring forth from the top of the head in a wavy fashion.

ADAM [thought bubble]: Leo's firmly in grasp. My brain's holding together from the anxiety storms...for now.

PANEL 5-6: A two-part set of panels that shifts to the front door of the store. In Panel 5, we see him just a second before stepping inside as the sliding glass doors open. In the next panel, just as he gets inside, he grimaces and squints his eyes as if being hit by some type of noxious (to him) stench.

ADAM [Cont., thought bubble; Panel 5]: All that's left is dealing with unforseen... ADAM [scared, Panel 6]: GAHH! ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 6]: ...circumstances!

INT. BOOKSTORE, SAN FRANCISCO BOTANICAL GARDENS

PANEL 1: We move to an action shot of Adam slowly walking into the building, trying his best to keep himself upright amongst the overwhelming aroma. You can see the eyes of a few other people already inside looking at the young man with a mix of curiosity and pity.

ADAM [thought bubble]: Like going through the perfume section when I was younger. Surprisingly pungent...for a bookstore!

PANEL 2-3: A two-part set of panels that follows him in the same setting and layout as the previous panel. As was the case with that Panel 1, he stumbles around the front of the store slowly getting his bearings together and searching for the source of the mystery aroma. In Panel 3, a few moments later, he stops walking upon discovering the source.

ADAM [Cont. thought bubble, Panel 2]: Just gotta...adjust to it. Find this Brit woman Mandy talked about before I... ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 3]: Whoa...

PANEL 4: Cut to a shot of what looks like a massive oak tree sprouting in the center of the bookstore, along with an assortment of different glowing plants on the ground around it; the back of Adam to the reader. You can see some of the people chatting and taking selfies in front of the artificial looking plant life, powered by a yellow glow emanating from the roof.

ADAM [thought bubble]: Awesome...and perfectly on brand!

PANEL 5: We move to a close-up on Adam a few moments later, crouched down in front of one of the flower bouquets (an aqua-crimson red petaled one with wires at the center which resemble the carpels). He picks up one of the flowers from the area. At the same time, you can see what appears to be some type of bug fly into the shot in the background.

ADAM [thought bubble]: I wonder if this is what I've been smelling since I got in here. How though? ADAM [thought bubble 2]: Maybe microscopic smell receptors that flow out to the rest of the store, or possibly some type of...

PANEL 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A second later, as Mr. de Connick stands back up, the bug from before fully comes into view to the reader. It looks like a bee with the glow of metal that comes from the light that happens to shine from the ceiling lights. You can see the window and part of the cashier desk in the background, along with some other customers.

LITTLE BEE [to Adam]: Do not touch the display, sir! ADAM [startled]: GAH! What the f--?!
