Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 4: Pages 21-22
PAGE 21
PANEL 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The hologram has disappeared, coinciding with the door opening and Po's head poking through the doorway to catch sight of the young man for the first time.
PO [Cont., to Adam]: Come in, come in! Nice to see someone pop on over here who's my age. Usually, we have big rats or stupid reporters I have to teach about basic multi-level password maintenance--
PANEL 2-3: A two-part set of panels that cuts back to Adam. It starts in Panel 2 with him going down on one knee and starting to untie his right shoe. Then, a few moments later in Panel 3, he's back into a standing position holding both of his shoes in his right hand, making his first strides inside the office.
PO [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: Someone reminded you...very good! PO [Cont. Off-Panel, Panel 3]: Cleaning up poop and blood stains on an ElectriCarpet are an absolute pain. First you gotta shut it off, and then you have to find the right cleaner that won't burn through the wiring... ADAM [thought bubble, as Po chatters on; Panel 3]: He--He's joking about those stains...right? Do I really wanna know the answer to that?
INT. PO'S OFFICE
PANEL 4: We move things a few moments later with the young Mr. de Connick comfortably inside the office, whose walls we see clearly to the sides of the panel view covered with Giants paraphenalia including jerseys of team legends as well as a poster highlighting the five World Series championships (2010, 2012, 2014, 2022, 2030).
PO [Off-Panel, to Adam]: Anyway, I'm babbling. Can I get you anything to drink?
PANEL 5: Action shot of Po walking over to the side of a built-in refrigerator, whose door is opened to reveal the drink choices (Chardi= a canned Chardonnay wine; RB-X= redesigned Red Bull with a variety of different flavors) he mentions to Adam along with a handful of other things. You can see the same motif on the walls that was in play in the previous panel follow through here, along with a few bits of artwork and photos of him standing next to a holographic in-his-prime Axl Rose.
PO [Cont.]: Pepsi, Corona, Chardi...maybe a tall RB-X?
PANEL 6: Cut back to Adam standing a few steps away from the front of the desk; the background behind him is similar to what we saw in Panel 4. He shakes his head at the question, flashing a timid smile in regards to the act of courtesy from the similarly aged man.
ADAM: No, thanks. I'm just here to find some of my cousin Adam's stuff while he worked here.
PO [Off-Panel]: Ah, I see. Which section did your cousin write for? ADAM [Bubble 2]: The Film section, between 2010 and 2018. PO [Off-Panel 2]: Okie dokie...
PAGE 22
PANEL 1: Back to a shot of Po as he moves back behind his desk, grabbing the large helmet off of its hardwood top. He looks over in Adam's direction at the same time to inquire a little more information from the young man.
PO [to Adam]: So do you have a lil' Cookie with you? Or were you thinking of just syncing it up with another device?
PANEL 2: Cut to Adam in the same position we caught him in at the end of the previous page; the background and layout also similar to what we saw in that aforementioned panel. He's clearly confused by the first part of the question, though trying not to appear that way in front of the future man.
ADAM [shrugs, to Po]: I--The cookie's fine. PO [Off-Panel]: You have one with you? ADAM [Bubble 2]: Nope. PO [Off-Panel 2]: No worries...
PANEL 3-4: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Po in the same setting and layout as Panel 1. In Panel 3, he's unflinched by the negative note tinged to his previous question. You can see a light blue glow coming from his left wrist. In Panel 4, moments later, a round device shaped and colored like an Oreo appears in the middle of his left palm; the helmet now fit snuggly back on his face.
PO [nonchalantly, Panel 3]: I always keep a bunch of spares nearby for emergencies and...personal use.
ADAM [Off-Panel, Panel 3]: Thanks... PO [Panel 3, Bubble 2]: No problemo. Any particular year you want to focus on, or topic? ADAM [Off-Panel, Panel 4]: Umm, I--I'm not sure. PO [Panel 4]: No worries, you can show me once we slip into the Cube. ADAM [Off-Panel; Panel 4, Bubble 2]: What do you mean, slip into--?
PANEL 5: Close-up on the side of the helmet a few moments later. You can see the Cookie that was in the young man's hand in the previous panel now connected to a separate round port located on top of the helmet; a "CLICK!" popping up on top of the device.
