INT. FOURTH FLOOR, NEG BUILDING

PANEL 1: Fast forward to Adam a few minutes later, departing the elevators which appear partially in the background. You can see a section of a separate hallway to the right side of the panel view.

PANEL 2, 4, 6: The panels on the right side of the page show Adam over the course of a minute slowly going through the hallway in search of the Tickets office. The background behind him shows the right half of the hallway as it moves at a similar pace.

PANEL 3, 5, 7: On the left side, we see a physical manifestation of the young man's inner monologue. He's moving at the same pace for the most part as his silent/contemplative counterpart, though with more facial expression on his face manifesting what he's thinking inside. The background behind him is the left side of the hallway, moving at the same pace as the even numbered panels.

ADAM [to himself, Panel 3]: Okay, what to say, what to say...my friend got tickets for the Con, and he wanted to pass on something to me-- ADAM [shakes his head nervously, wiping the story off; Panel 5]: No no, that wouldn't work. They'd have to ask me who my friend is, double check the name off a database...it wouldn't end well. ADAM [building an idea, Panel 7]: What if I...hmmm, what if I say the tickets were a birthday present, and I wanted to double check if it's a one-day for a full weekend? That's...not any more perfect than the first one. But it has a slightly better chance of working, soo...

INT. TICKET OFFICE

PANEL 1: Action shot from the side of Adam stepping inside the office a short time later; his eyes gazing around part of the room that he first sees. All we see is part of the hallway from the opened doorway behind him, and a little bit of the walls that are immediately visible in the right side of the panel view.

ADAM [to anyone inside, curious]: Hellooo...? Anyone in here, or in some type of virtual reality beach maybe? ADAM [thought bubble]: No holographic receptionist outside...

PANEL 2: Cut to a shot of the room that he's looking in, from the young man's P.O.V. It's a fairly low-tech little room with a handful of posters on the wall highlighting past GGCC events as well as other nerdy events that the company has sponsored in the past. There's also a desk that looks like it was taken from a store floor of an Office Depot in 2017 with some type of tablet turned off in the center of the desktop.

ADAM [Cont. Off-Panel, thought bubble]: Or human person inside.

PANEL 3: We move to a shot of the top half of Mr. de Connick's body, looking around at the room as his movements shift to a curious mosey. As was the case in Panel 1, you can see his eyes casting a wide net in the area of the room. You can also see the bulk of the room behind him in the background, including the ceiling and the lights.

ADAM [thought bubble]: Maybe they have a robot hiding in a closet who gets activated when someone walks inside.

PANEL 4-5: A two-part set of panels that starts on the same setting and layout as the previous panel along with the same background. The primary change between both scenes is the fact that Adam has shifted a step and a half to the left. In Panel 5 moments later, he glances down and notices for the first time the tablet computer on the desk.

ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 4]: Could be heat senors, or some freaky DNA scan like Lexy did back at Amanda's house. The stuff I've seen in this future, I've grown quite adept at expecting freaky tech... ADAM [to himself, pleasantly surprised; Panel 5]: Like a tablet. ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 5]: 'Kay, I might have been over thinking it. Again.
