Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 6: Pages 19-20
PAGE 19
PANEL 1: Cut to a shot from the side of the woman further explaining the backstory of the story; her focus split between the young man and the performance going on on-stage. You can see the sides of the heads of other people watchin in the background, along with the walls of the hall in the distance.
WOMAN [Cont., to Adam]: It's just a little piece from the middle of the first book they're trotting out in between the competition. It's celebrating the 20th anniversary of the story winning and the 18th anniversary of the release of the final part of the trilogy. 15th, if you count the...
PANEL 2: Back to a shot of Adam in the same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The rest of the woman's explanation fades away in terms of what he hears, lost in particular by the middle part of the statement.
ADAM [interjecting, immensely curious; to Woman]: Trilogy?
PANEL 3: We move back to the woman in the same setting and layout as Panel 1. Unlike before, she turns her full attention to Mr. de Connick with a look of surprised/annoyed "Really, dude?" on his face.
WOMAN: The Pegwilgie Trilogy? How could you not remember the biggest selling romfanfic of all time?!
PANEL 4: Back to Adam in the same setting/layout as Panel 2. He cringes at the sudden push she makes toward his personal space, moving back a few inches as he speaks; his left hand moving into his pocket to grab his stim Leonardo toy.
ADAM [stammering]: I--I---I'm kinda new to Fan-Fic. I dabbled a bit in it when I was younger. When I saw the sign outside, I thought I'd pop in...get back into the swing of things.
PANEL 5: Cut back to the woman in the same setting and layout as Panel 3. At the same time as she speaks, the audience starts applauding at one memorable moment in the story that is going on off-panel.
WOMAN [cooling down, trying to be helpful]: Oh. Of course...I think they're selling some commemorative throwback graphic novels in the back if you wanna snag one.
PANEL 6: We move to a shot of the book display that the woman mentions earlier, but now a short time after the end of the previous panel. The cover is placed on display in the center of the table, showing Angie, Jason Wilkes and Peggy drawn gorgeously in a sweet/stereotypically romance novel-y manner. You can see a group of people hovering around the place, either thinking about picking a copy up or just checking out the art as the competitors on-stage perform their respective stories.
WOMAN [Cont., Off-Panel]: Or if you're just a Print Nerd!

PANEL 1: Cut to a shot of Mr. de Connick a few moments later holding one of the books in his hand and flipping through the pages, checking out the art inside. You can see some of the others in the audience watching the performance and/or whispering something to the person next to them.
ADAM [thought bubble]: Huh...professional fanfic writer. Has a pretty awesome ring to it careerwise (at least if I can't find anything of value in journalism). The big question though is- how do I get into it?
PANEL 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A split second later, powered by the thought that has formed in his head, Adam turns the pages back toward the front of the book in search of one piece of information.
ADAM [Cont., thought bubble]: The lady said it was a "throwback graphic novel." Logic should dictate that there'd be a...
PANEL 3: Cut to a shot of the book's first page, focused specifically on the credits section. Below the litany of names that are behind making the book- the editor/"lifelong fan of the two ladies involved...MADISON GLATTER."
ADAM [Off-Panel]: Bingo!
PANEL 4-5: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 2. After the moment of joy that punctuated the discovery from the previous panel, in Panel 4, we see a sudden rush of anxiety as the next big question pops up in front of his face. In Panel 5, the pondering is disrupted by the sound of rocket engines coming outside off-panel right; the gaze of some of the people behind him shifting toward that particular direction to see what's going on.
ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 4]: Now, for the bigger, slightly more annoying follow-up question- how do I find out this person's phone number? SOUND EFFECT [Off-Panel right, Panel 5]: WOOOSHHH!
