Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 6: Pages 21-22
PAGE 21
PANEL 1: We cut to a big 1/3-page sized shot of the hallway outside of the aforementioned Hall. You can see the young man's head craning upward to the ceiling, watching as a pair of Iron Man droids fly in the sky in a metallic horse race; a crowd starting to form to watch the race.
PANEL 2: Cut to a shot of Mr. de Connick back on ground level, following the robots path out of view with a pained yet somewhat fascinated look on his face. You can see, on the left side of the panel view, some of the people next to him quickly running over to some portion off-panel left to get a better look.
ADAM [thought bubble]: This would be fun to look at, I imagine...preferably with noise cancelling headphones. The noise's like a billion bees buzzin simultaneously in my head.
PANEL 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. He heads off a second later toward the right of the panel view to get away from the sound. At the same time, you can see other people from the right moving just as quickly as the others from Panel 2. You can also see a little green flicker from the top center of the panel view.
PANEL 4: Action shot of Adam a few moments later, heading over to some type of nondescript area that will provide some type of refuge for him from the noise. As the rocket noises stop, you can hear a soft "FWOOM!" come from some type of floating platform as it gravitates off the ground. You can also see a little drone in the sky right around where Mr. de Connick is, hidden out of view from the young man's gaze.
PANEL 5: Slight close-up on the drone itself a second later, following Adam covertly as was the case in the previous panel. There's a camera flash coming from just above the lense as if it had caught something of interest. On the side of the electronic device, titled "Cam Man," you can see the logo for "News 7 KSFO" with the logo for NBCW (a combination of NBC and the CW) next to it.
PAGE 22
PANEL 1-3: A three-part set of panels that each focus on the same setting as the last panel of the previous page, but with a different layout. In each panel, you can see a blue orb of ones and zeroes as it travels throughout the main core of the drone as if it were a ball of food before exiting out the back by the time we reach Panel 3.
PANEL 4: A split second later, we see the ball of data shoot out of the arena through one of the high windows, leaving a similarly colored contrail as it exits out into the hazy tinted clear blue sky.
LAURA [caption]: "Representative Martinson has spent his entire career in politics being the tough guy who doesn't back down from a fight."
PANEL 5: A few more seconds after that, we cut to a shot of the data as it streams through the middle of busy downtown San Francisco, filled with a lot of action and the occasional flying car passing by as well as sections of fresh greenery growing from some of the buildings to the right of the panel view.
LAURA [caption]: "You're telling me, after all that talk your boss gives to friendly sites, he won't take actual questions from the biggest TV network in your--"
INT. LAURA'S DESK, KSFO- Mid-Afternoon
PANEL 6: Cut to a shot of Laura seated at her desk, talking hands-free on her phone to the person on the other end of the line. She raises a curious eyebrow over the statement coming from the spokesman. In the background, you can see her Inbox stuffed to the brim with E-Mails including a notification of a photo from the drone we saw at the top of the page.
SPOKESMAN [from the line next to the computer]: The Representative has already released a statement apologizing for the mishap at the fundraiser. He doesn't feel any need to explain it further than he did to all the other outlets throughout-- LAURA [interjecting, with complete disbelief]: Oh, you mean that half-assed "apology" that was means tested within an inch of its life not to offend your core PO base? HA! I've seen better apologies from fracking Nazicans back East.
SPOKESMAN [Bubble 2]: That is an absolute slanderous statement, comparing Rep. Martinson to-- LAURA [interjecting, Bubble 2]: Really? You want to start going over the man's votes...his top fundraisers since he got to Sacramento...policies...I'm happy to go down that road. I've got a whole file on the Pixelbook ready to chuck at him--
