Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 7: Pages 3-4
PAGE 3
PANEL 1: We move back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 5 of the previous page. He shifts slightly in his seat, posting a little bit of a sheepish smile over the left side of his face as he speaks.
ADAM [Cont., containedly excited]: Before that whole thing with the reporter, I was going through one of the events at the Con and...I think I might have found something that could be a good career path for me. AMANDA [Off-Panel]: Really? What was it? ADAM [Bubble 2]: Fan Fic.
PANEL 2-3: A two-part set of panels that cuts back to Amanda in the same setting and layout as the last panel of the previous page. In Panel 2, she places the mug back on the coffee table with a great deal of surprise on her face in regards to the previous panel's statement. In Panel 3, she straightens back out on the couch's cushion; her attitude shifting toward curiosity, looking to learn a little more.
AMANDA [to Adam, Panel 2]: No kidding? I didn't know you like to write fan fics. ADAM [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: I wrote some, but I wasn't all that active in it 'cause of work. I figured though, with my nerdy love and my writing skills, I can go the Roger Ebert path into creative writing (albeit ya know...more successfully than he did). AMANDA [Panel 3]: Not a bad idea, bro. It's a decently successful piece of business to get into, from what I've heard, if you know the right people.
PANEL 4: We move to a shot of Adam shaking his head at the question; the setting similar to what we saw at the top of the page, but with a wider layout to take in the rest of his body and most of the couch. As a result, you can see his hand moving underneath the NV suit to retrieve something that was hidden underneath it.
AMANDA [Cont., Off-Panel]: Speaking of which- did you find someone who can help there? ADAM [unsure]: I'm not sure if this person is one of those "right people." But...
PANEL 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few seconds later, we see the same Trinity Trilogy GN that he bought at the end of the previous chapter; his eyes flashing a hopeful look as he speaks.
ADAM [Cont.]: Her name's Madison Glatter. I'm not sure if you know who she is or if you've interacted with her at work somehow...
PAGE 4
PANEL 1: Cut to a shot of Amanda glancing down at the page that her brother bookmarked with his finger during the exchange; her eyes focused particularly on the name focused on the lower part of the page.
AMANDA [pondering, to Adam]: The name doesn't ring a bell. But the publishing company...
PANEL 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A second later, she lifts her head from the book to properly address Adam eye-to-eye. You can see the tone of voice and body language has shifted to a slightly more optimistic level as she finishes the rest of her thought.
AMANDA [Cont.]: I actually know someone in the Talent Acquisitions department. I'd be happy to give you their E-Mail, once you find out the story you wanna tell.
PANEL 3: We move back to Adam in a close-up of his head; the setting and layout similar to what we saw in Panel 4 of the previous page. He gives a grateful half grin in regards to the offer, nodding solidly at the offer.
ADAM [to Amanda]: That'd be brilliant, Mandy--thanks! AMANDA [Off-Panel]: Of course...sound up by 7!
PANEL 4-6: A three-part set of panels that all focus on the same full shot over the course of a handful of minutes of the two of them watching the baseball game going on in the main CAT screen; the background behind him changes to signify a section of the ballpark's bleachers, including some of the people as they start to make their way to their seats.
MUSIC: [Opening music, Panel 4] ANNOUNCER [Off-Panel, Panel 5]: Jane Cooper back here at Yelp Park, just a few minutes away from first pitch. Game 2 of the 4-game Interleague series with the Central leading River Gnats after last night's 4-3 14 inning... ADAM [thought bubble, Panel 6]: Okay, let's go through the Day 2 schedule again...
