Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 7: Pages 9-10

PAGE 9

PANEL 1: Slight close-up on Doopool's face a second later; the layout of the scene changing slightly to take in a side view of the other competitors; one moving forward, while the other takes their place back in line. You can see the immense amount of delight and nerdish glee in the cosplaying person's eyes as they speak.

DOOPOOL [Cont., to Michele]: I'm a huge fan of your Marvel channel. I was part of your group that competed in the Warp World challenge a few years back.

PANEL 2-3: A two-part set of panels that cuts to a similarly framed close-up of Michele's face over the course of a few moments. In Panel 2, she is visibly confused by a part of the story, unsure of the identity of this mystery person. Then, in Panel 3, it hits her with the sudden power of realization.

MICHELE [reminiscing/slightly confused, to Doopool; Panel 2]: Oh wow, it's been a hot min since Warp World...remind me what your primary/secondary characters? My group was a pretty large one, if I remember right. DOOPOOL [Off-Panel, Panel 2]: My primary was Ghost Panther and Doopool was my secondary- my username was Jersey_ShuriMD. MICHELE [sudden remembrance, Panel 3]: Oh yeah! You were the one who alternated between Doop Speak and Vulcan during missions. I tried for a good month and a half to copy what you did onto my little laptop, but never pulled it off.

PANEL 4: Cut back to Doopool in the same setting and layout as

Panel 1. You can see a bright smile coming over their face as they speak, tinged with a little glow of flirtation regarding the potential of a new friend. As this goes on, in the background, you can see the same type of applause coming from the crowd regarding the competitor on display.

DOOPOOL [flattered/suggestive]: I'm--I'm honored. I can show you the code for that over drinks...after the Fantastic Four anniversary panel. You're going to it, right?

PANEL 5: We move back to Michele in the same setting and layout as Panel 3. Michele grins slightly at the offer, though with a few touches of caveats that come at the end of it. The applause that was prevalent in the previous panel has faded away at this point in time.

MICHELE: Of course. Chance to meet the Thing himself, Sergio Peris Mencheta? No way I'd miss that! But as a rule...I usually like to see someone's face before hanging out with somebody IRL. Name, too...

PANEL 6: Cut back to Doopool in the same setting and layout as Panel 4. A little display screen emerges from the center of the cosplay, showing the person's face- a Japanese-Italian woman named Nina- smiling back at Michele's direction.

NINA: It's Nina. Nina Hodson.

PAGE 10

PANEL 1: Same setting/layout as Panel 5 of the previous page. The smile that was on her face slightly in that aforementioned panel has widened out a little more with what she's seen. Off-panel, you can hear the sound of the screen disappearing.

MICHELE: Very nice to meet you, Nina Hodson... ADAM [caption]: Oh, you sweeet beauty...!

INT. COLLECTIBLES AREA

PANEL 2: Cut to a shot of Mr. de Connick a short time after this sweet scene inside the collectibles area; his eyes glancing down with overbrimming joy at a Sonic Screwdriver plopped down on the counter of a booth somewhere. He's holding a thin bag filled with what appears to be a comic in his right hand. You can see someone cosplaying as Thanos with Donald Trump's hair walking behind him in the background.

ADAM [Cont., reaching out to touch it with both hands; thought bubble]: Gotta pick up it gently. Just in case it's fragile, 'cause I...really do not wanna break and have 10 year old me come back from the past to slap me in the head!

PANEL 3-4: A two-part set of panels that follows on the young man a few moments later, holding the Screwdriver firmly in his left hand. In Panel 3, we see him closely examining the buttons on the device with the same nerdish glee in his eyes as the previous panel. In the next panel, a few moments later, a button he presses near the middle of the device sends out a green beam that shoots out toward the top right corner of the panel view, startling Adam by the show accurate sound it makes.

PANEL 5: Cut to a shot a distance away, showing a promo drone dragging a poster for a revival of Friends coming to DisNBC in the Fall crashing down to the ground; a billow of smoke coming from the rear of the device.

ADAM [Off-Panel]: Whoa...!

PANEL 6: Back to Adam in the same setting and layout as Panel 4; the background has slightly changed with another group of nondescript geeks and cosplayers walking past him at the same moment. He glances over at the off-panel seller with an extremely scared and anxious look on his face over what happened.

ADAM [Cont., to the seller]: Sooo...how much for this?
